This clinic is a night mate from all aspects including doctors, social workers and hospice! My first visit was simply to have prescriptions renewed of which I have been on and closely monitored for by a group of excellent doctors in kamloops for yrs. After Dr Louw spoke with me for approximately 5 minutes she agreed to renew them less pain killer for fybermialgia however when I picked up the meds at the pharmacy she made the decision to take me off all of them including thyroid, antidepressants, anti seizure, muscle relaxant and heart as well as the fybermialgia medication and pain killer. All at once and cold Turkey knowing nothing of me. After 3 weeks of feeling complete pain and utter sickness I returned to have her right the wrong only to find myself taking to a Dr Biggs. That in its self was like a horror movie, he just stood there and said that I have to go back to the socialists who put me on them and don’t bother coming back here because we can’t help you that you’re case is too complicated and I doubt that any Doctor between Oliver and Penticton would take me as a patient either! I couldn’t believe it! Not only was I sick from the change in meds there was something wrong with my throat. I was choking on my saliva and water and begged him to refer me to a specialist in Penticton. He then very painfully referred me to a throat specialist and reminded me not to come back. I saw the specialist the next day and the day after he did an emergency operation on my throat to stretch my esophagus.
The Dr in Keremeos are uncared and careless. They made me feel like I was some kind of freak undeserving of proper care. I was such an emotional wreak that when I was waiting in the waiting room to see this Dr Biggs that I couldn’t help but cry. The reception asked if I would like to talk with a worker, after some thought I said why not. That was a worse mistake , she just kept cutting me off raising her voice asking over and over “what brought you here today”? She was angry wouldn’t let me talk , assumed I was drug seeking, overbearing and in my state of mind down right scarey! I don’t know where she got her degree but it seems to me that whole clinic has professionals who are hiding in the back yard for some reason or another and I don’t believe it’s just a matter of lifestyle. I think it’s time the community speaks up and writes a few letters to the College of Physicians. I will never go there again or ever suggest or take anyone there ever….that’s a guarantee! I know a lot of Doctors between between Penticton and Kamloops both personally and professionally and the few I’ve talked have heard similar. I give it zero stars and the Doctors.
