I am so impressed with Kindred ! Before we are here, the other facility had given up on Donnie! He just looked alful. What a turn around he has made since he has been here. Positive support, caring medical staff, doctors. No one gave up here. Kindred employees are remarkable, my calls where always answered, when I met with case manger or Lori patient relations, they always provided me with what I needed to know. Every nurse and tech that I spoke to, or watched how they cared for Donnie where truly great. Priscilla

I h ave a friend currently at Kindred. When I visit her, it is always a pleasant experience. She is receiving dialysis treatment in her room. The techs are always polite and friendly. The food is above average for a facility of this type. Would highly recommend Kindred to anyone needing great temporary care.

Kindred was constantly short staffed. The nurses were good but so overworked that meds were late and care was delayed. My father put on 30 pounds of fluid before the problem was addressed and 9 months later still has problems with his legs related to the fluid. Most of the time I bathed my father myself with the exception of when Randy was his tech. Randy was wonderful. Most of the resp. therapists were really good with the exception of one who one night when the trach care and resp treatment was over 2 hours late I found her coming into the building with Old Charlie’s bags. Guess getting supper was more important than her patients. This particular therapist was always rude and skipped treatments. The equipment was old and literally held together with duct tape. Equipment was shared between patients often. Housekeeping went from room to room, even isolation rooms, wearing the same gloves. Emptied trash first, then cleaned the room with the same gloves on. Mary with speech therapy was a blessing. Physical and occupational therapy were hit and miss. Often with both in the room at the same time, not doing separate therapies. The food was often inedible. I would not recommend kindred to anyone. When my father was there several families were transferring their loved ones to different facilities.

For the most part everything was exceptional. My favorite mech was sienna, really bubbly personality. Then there is Paul words can’t express his kindness and he has such a radiant smile. Dr. Tangye eas just amazing he came and seen me everyday, explain in detail my condition and what his plan was for my recovery. Lori a special warm thank you to you. You brought Bella to see me and that just touched my heart. Sometimes the littlest of things make everything so much better. I would recommend kindred to any one who needs the care that they give. Just a very outstanding hospital. Marilyn Watson
