The nursing staff did an excellent job tending to my everyday needs, always treating me well. I would like to give a shout out to rehab team - Brian, Erin and Alyssa and the female doctor who worked with them, they all worked hard to get me back on my feet!

When I first got here I didn’t know where I was. But everybody helped me to get better; they helped me breathe on my own; helped move me in bed; help me to walk again; and even brush my teeth again!

My experience at Kindred has been the most worthy experience I’ve ever had. First – the environment is high quality and very clean. Second – the cooking is admirable and timely. Third – the nursing staff is off the hook! There are so many of them to accept the number of patients they receive and show due diligence. All the patients appear to get top notch care. I want to thank the nurses Alan and Todd as well as Pauline and Carol for overseeing the nursing team. I particularly want to thank Miss Mary and Miss Renee for all they have done to assist me personally. I also want to specially thank the CEO Doug for coming to visit me from time to time and provide me my minor requests during my stay. Thank you to Rehab for getting me moving and not taking my weakness for laziness. Finally, Dorothea, my song bird, has done everything she could to provide me with everything I need in a short time. Love you all hope to see you again but not as a patient!

There have been several nurses who have been attentive and caring, I don’t remember all of their names. The only name I can remember is LAN. She has been just my favorite nurse ever. We just clicked, wish I could take her with me to the next facility! Rehab was also top notch. They worked very hard with me and I saw some great progress. I very much enjoyed working with them!

In the several months that I have been here I have a good experience. I’ve had my ups and downs with some good days and some bad days, but this place has been pretty good. I wouldn’t want anyone I know to have to stay in a hospital as long as I did but if they had to I would recommend coming here.

I came to Seattle to another hospital to have my foot looked at. In that hospital I slipped into a coma. When I woke up I had partial paralysis and my foot was worse with the possibility of amputation. After a few days I was transfers to Kindred First Hill. In the span of a couple of weeks I have made great progress. With the help of the Rehab department I have been able to transfer to a wheelchair, move around on my own, have feeling in my hands again and working on getting memory back. I have learned a lot from those therapists! I am on my way to making a turn around with my foot , wound care here has helped save it. I truly believe if if were not for Kindred I would be much worse off or even dead. The staff has been excellent, working very hard to get me better. Everyone goes out of their way to make me comfortable, and I appreciate all of them!
