i want to speak about the INR situation there….people are waiting up to 2 to 3 hours long…many people will not wait that long, so they skip doing there blood work….thus you have creating a serious situation there…..i believe that this hospital has made a mandate to stall the work to make it last longer for the day…..i believe that KLH is creating a bad situation at this hospital, and many people are angry over this situation…..thus creating a bad social service to many people

This has to be one of the most copsetic hospitals in BC for housekeeping, nursing and a good emergency (although not too many drs and one or 2 visiting duds.) The food is so so as all IHA hospîtals are trying to save money I guess. (not a US model where every aspirin is paid by the patient or insurer)Still a lot of bad feeling how Trail took a lot of the services and that hospital, although a good infrastructure is a dirty inefficient place (appraisals for Trail hosp.) The strong point at KLDH I think is the nursing and health sciences staffs – for me anyway on the basis of almost 30 years of visits and stays. I think our communty is quite proud of KLDH

Best maternity ward ever!! Except the food. The nurses are incredible – so kind and helpful and supportive. I didn’t want to leave after giving birth. 🙂

Great layout, Sunny and bright with directional signs making it easy to find where you need to go. Parking can be tricky to find on a week day.

This was, hands down, the worst experience I've ever had in a hospital. I had a terrible sinus infection and was hoping to receive some antibiotics to help fight the infection. All of my symptoms were completely consistent with a sinus infection. Instead of prescribing me antibiotics, the young female doctor whose name I unfortunately didn't get, told me to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen and to eat honey. Not that these remedies aren't helpful in certain instances, but the doctor's lack of diagnostic ability was shocking, as was the fact that she let her personal opinion (doctors over-prescribe antibiotics, and my body may not be able to handle them!) get in the way of a real diagnosis of a patient IN THE MOMENT. I have been suffering for longer than I've needed to because of her lack of help, and this was by far the WORST experience in a hospital setting I've ever had.

The worst experience I had in the hospital. I went in for severe ear pain and headache. Dr. Sebastian Hetu-Hade told me "I don't have a great answer for you" and then sarcastically said "I can't invent a new medication for your pain." Recommended me to take tylenol even though I told him that I tried but it didn't work. I was dismissed from hospital with no interventions being done. Didn't order any diagnostic tests. Refused to refer me to a neurologist even though he told me it's neurological headache and was unable to provide any explanation for it. When I asked if he could send the report to my family doctor to follow up he said " maybe. " He offered a prescription medication but didn't write a prescription. Overall, it was my worst hospital experience.

Terrible 3rd floor nurse (Vicki). I arrived after weeks of negotiation to cross the border during the pandemic to see my father - and when I asked to speak to his caregivers was told I could not have this information because it was confidential! She was rude, uncaring and unprofessional.

Terrible experiences here. Pretty sure a lot of the physicians are cast offs from other places.
