Don’t even bother going if you are ‘t a local. They absolutely hate out of province people and they have no problem making you wait 5,6,8, 9 hours. & I’m talking late in the evening. It did look like to me they give priority to locals. If you have an injury like bleeding – clean the wound yourself before you go otherwise if you rely on them by the time they get to you and infection has time to set in.

Thank you to the wonderful staff who work in every area of the emergency department. I know everyone is stretched thin with too little staff but I was treated wonderfully and never felt rushed.
The time to see a doctor was long but I brought a book as I knew why I went in wasn’t a true emergency and If anyone came in with something more severe I’d get bumped.

Walked in there with a major infection around 830am, by 1030am I was in emergency surgery. The nursing staff took very good care of me :). The whole place can use a update but the staff were friendly even if way over worked and under staffed.

Incompetent organization! Staff are aweful to other patients and discharge planner was rude and very inappropriate when speaking to me.

Nurse informed patient they had too many things they needed to get done. Last I checked without patients you don’t have funding. Nurse implied my care was an inconvenience.
