Specialist sent me there as I am immune compromised. Had temps of 39 plus overnight. And high temps.last 36 hrs. I did a rat test at home which was negative. I got to the logan and told at the desk have panadol and go home. I said no as my specialist whom is one of the directors of the hispital has sent me and I need to be seen by a doctor for antiviral if I am positive for one of the following. PCR for covid rsv and influenza. They said they do not do swab tests there and I need to go to qml. I sat for all that time 6hrs to be told you rat was negative go home. They were very unhelpfull. Its sad. I didnt even see a doctor in the end. Also I am unwell yet I am polite. They were rude and dismissive. Wont be going back.

Although the Drs and specialists are first class, the Nurses conduct and post op care is very very poor.
The rooms are cramped and noisy when the nurses wheel their trolley in, banging into everything. The shared lavatory and shared bathrooms are filthy. They don’t look like they have been properly cleaned for many years with black crud and hair blocking up the drains and corners and crevices of the rooms.
Nurses don’t care if you are comfortable they just want to get through their hours and not have to talk to you. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the nurses. Everything you ask them is an inconvenience to them. I was treated appallingly.
The coffee cart vendors and entrance cafe workers were rude and have very poor customer service skills.

I was an inpatient for several horrible weeks. They sent me home in a worse state than I went in, and told me “there’s nothing more we can do” (when they hadn’t done ANYTHING) and “don’t bother coming back”. An absolute disgrace.

This place is an absolute Fkn joke! Don’t go here
They completely and utterly ignore your issues, and when it becomes to difficult for them they tel you to seek help from outside the hospital and send you home.
Make the extra trip and go to p.a , Matar or greenslopes
1 star is to generous for this crap shack of a so called hospital

I took my friend in there yesterday with swelling in her throat which meant restricted ability to talk and difficulty breathing. She also had tightening in her chest. They took her into a cubicle and gave her some medication to try and address the swelling, then they closed the curtain on her and left her alone for hours without anyone checking on her! Please tell me what would have happened had the medication not worked and her airways had shut down completely?? Or, that she had a reaction to that medication as well?? She could have been dead for hours before any one noticed. The ED waiting room was not busy and the admin/triage were barely civil. They lost the referral from the GP between the waiting room to the file which contained information about her allergies and current medication.
I witnessed one poor man come in with visible swelling to his eyes and face who told them he had a history of severe reaction to the wasp sting he had received. They were awful to this poor man, sending him from one window to the next. None of the people in there seemed to give a damn about anyone there apart from the lovely security guard at the front doors. I will never take anyone to that ED again and I will make sure that all of my family and friends understand the lack of care given here too.
