Mater private hospital allows surgeons to do surgeries without exercising due care and attention , to line up patients on surgery days and allow assistants to perform crucial parts of an operation . This has become a huge money making exercise at the expense of unsuspecting patients .
I paid a huge amount for one of your resident surgeons to perform a hip replacement . It turns out that the assistant not being properly supervised fractured part of my hip which has now left me substantially worse off and ruined my life .

At the Mater recently for thyroid surgery. The nursing care was terrific. Being a fussy eater, I really appreciated the ability to order from an extensive menu at a time of my choice. My room had a lovely large picture window overlooking a garden, but it needed a paint and damaged ceiling tiles required replacement. The air conditioning was not working. The beautiful healing garden was lovely spot to enjoy cafe coffee.

I could not fault this hospital, the level of care and professionalism is second to none. Usually after an extended stay you see things begin to flag a little, but no so here. The staff are incredibly caring and compassionate. I was attended by fantastic physiotherapists who had me making excellent progress and the confidence to go home on my own.

Probably one of the worst hospitals I’ve ever seen. The rooms are fifty, old paint, flies on the walls, bathrooms are disgusting.
