Mercy is the only hospital I recommend and my family knows that if an emergency ever came up that I had better not be taken to or wake up at St. Luke's. My favorite thing about Mercy is it's "homey" feeling and not the white wall asylum you see in most hospitals plus their exceptionally caring staff, great mental health care and fantastic birthing center.

I would not take my dead dog to Mercy and Hall-Perrine let alone a living, breathing human being

Although I rate the hospital high, an Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Alwahdani, nearly killed me. Outcome is still in doubt. After bringing my left ventricle from heart failure mode, to above average functionality, He discontinued one medication (digoxin), with instructions to call him immediately if I experienced severe fatigue and diffculty catching my breath. Within 9 days I had these symptoms. I reported them immediately, but it was over 3 weeks before a diagnostic check was performed. During that time the left ventricle dropped back to 23% functionality. He must have been caught off guard, because he blamed me for the relapse. But…I did not order the Digoxin discontinuance, I simply followed his instructions. I’m looking at starting from scratch, possibly losing work time, and the Mercy Cardiology Clinic won’t allow my care to be taken over by another physician, simply because I seek a second opinionon this care at University of Iowa. Io didn’ t expect Mercy to close ranks to defend a physician who nearly killed a man. My wife called the clinic seeking to understand this policy about changing physicians, and the scheduler yelled at her and hung up. Not something anyone would want to experience. Thankfully the voice recording was clear. Don’t become a statistic, go to St. Luke’s or University of Iowa if you want transparent care.

This hospital knows remdesivere was suspended in both of its trials because 54% of the participants died, they know it stops kidney function and yet they refuse other medicines and only will give it because of the huge, monetary kickback they get for each patient given it and other sedatives which all slow breathing that are on this protocol. It was not even fda approved the first 10 months of its use during Covid.the protocol kills but makes hospitals very, very rich.
