    I had a 6 hour emergency room visit on August 22 and the entire experience was much more comfortable and reassuring than I could have imagined. Other big hospitals like St Pauls and VGH seem very cold and clinical, whereas St Joseph’s seemed more intimate, comfortable, and all of the staff were super nice. The cafeteria is not well stocked with drink options but the coffee was fresh and it’s not a big enough hospital to warrant more I imagine. I would go back again if I needed treatment for something.

    Booked in for Day Surgery for a Hernia Opp by Dr (Surgeon) Amy Bazzerelli. I was impressed from start to finish by the whole procedure from reception to discharge. I couldn’t have wished for better staff and the handling at each stage. Thank you all for being such a great team!

    Attended emerg due to intense pain in L leg & inability to walk any distance. Staff ran x-rays, CT scan & MRI to conclude the cause of my mysterious pain. Dr. O’Donnel advised staying overnight, glad I finally agreed. EVERYONE was helpful, patient, explained things clearly and made me feel listened to & cared for. Thank you MSJ/Providence. One of the best decisions I’ve made.

    I spent the afternoon of October 17th in the ER to determine what was affecting my heart rate and breathing problems. The attention which I received could simply not be improved upon. The staff were obviously committed to excellence in all they did and always in the most supported manner. They made the arrangements to have me transported to St.Paul’s hospital in order to receive a pacemaker, accompanied by one of my nurses. A superb place to be if you have health problems.

    Thank you to the wonderful nurses for such attentive care over my lengthy stay. The staff is very friendly & so helpful. The hospital is aging but the staff make it worth that. One drawback was I didn't see the same doctor throughout my stay so I had to repeat my case progress to each new rotating doctor. My surgeon & anesthesiologist were really great. Staff work hard to keep up with the constant demands. They could use more nurses (but I am sure covid has taken a toll on the nursing staff).

    Went into ER with at least a grade 2 ankle sprain, 2 doctors told me I could walk on it immediately as long as I could tolerate the pain. They said I didn't need crutches and that they didn't have any compression wraps but I bought both anyways. Now, after researching treatment of bad ankle sprains, I'm disappointed as walking on it can make the injury drastically worse

    Having to stay overnight following surgery I was pleasantly surprised at the extraordinary attention I received at Mt. St. Joseph's. The surgeons and the entire staff on the 4th floor made me feel comfortable, paid attention to every detail and proved to be genuinely interested in my well-being (speedy recovery). All deserve 10/10! Remy H.

    MSJ is a risk the busy unkept under staffed unqualified health unit is without an ICU unit, I was given a brown paper bag to blow in when breathing became painful and difficult during a cold-triggered anaphylaxis crisis. No prescribed Dopler Ultrasound for DVT was done. I was admitted however when in a cold crisis and I requested heat I was evicted and rushed out by two uniformed officers ''Security Guards''I was absolutely terrified. I was sent home untreated alone in shock in a cab on my medical scooter. I am an isolated senior almost 80 yrs old! I remain too afraid to ever call for help knowing such hospitals exist in BC Canada! I suffer a ''rare HYPOTHERMIC condition.'' very well documented med. files they refused to view Inc.'s shocking photos. I am still unable to walk and left untreated...

    I suffer a rare and very serious Hypothermia condition when I requested better more heat I was ''evicted ''had to pack undress and redress in front of two Security men unable to even fend for myself fainting at home Dr. sent me there for tests they refused and this is for DVT and blood clotting for blood clotting! swollen double almost yet they evicted me by Security Guards I am almost 80 yrs old isolated know with no one in BC ''SHOCKING''this would never happen in a Toronto hospital Scary stuff in BC. Where are Human Rights in BC? Good Lord no accountability. I am terrified in BC without a safe world there to turn to one big health business bed in BC and they all sleep in it! (_*)no compassion or care!
