I was in the hospital for 5 days I had a stroke & I can tell you this I have never had such fantastic care ever ! The nurses were so fantastic that when I was scared they stayed with me. The Emergency Room nurses & doc were fantastic polite caring & very thoughtful. The doc in the ICU was absolutely wonderful the nurses as well. For my reasoning for being there I was treated like royalty ð I send out the biggest THANK YOU to them all ðð¥°ðð

Most of the services here are adequate, except the emergency department. It’s faster to drive to Edmonton to be seen for an emergency… this isn’t right. They desperately need more staff. And people need to stop going to emergency for non-emergencies… your stuffy nose or infected cut can wait until morning for god’s sake.

Had surgery here in 2019, terrible experience that left me disabled, likely for life. That hospital and doctors had me out the door in two days still pretty much pissing my pants and unable to walk.
They were more concerned with the wheelchair I was using to get to the door then they were of me the patient.
Prior to that surgery, they missed significant medical issues (cancer) for 5 years! Scans were done, it was in the scans, but missed, TWICE! CPSA found the radiologist at fault.
We left town because of all this, we could not get the help we needed there. All I can say is that if you have, or think you have, medical issues, don’t trust McMurray, get a out of town opinion and if it needs treatment, DO NOT get it in McMurray.

In Fort McMurray people will drive 5 hours to a hospital in Edmonton instead of going here.

Not the best hospital in the province. Staffing is a major issue.
