Good responses staff in the observation units of the emergency room. terrible. terrible. terrible customer service for medical procedures. waited over 29 hours for an MRI. I appreciate the need to triage but this is really bad. no one can offer a reason, alternative or anything of assistance. great disappointment. will seriously consider rush for any future medical needs. this is detrimental to a healing process

I was there for 11 nights in 2013, after open heart surgery. The surgeon was wonderful. All else was terrible. I was on a broken bed the entire time. The equipment and care were far below average. I would never return to NW Memorial. It is the WORST.

When my wife first had cancer and sought treatment, the staff was wonderful and the treatments were state-of-the-art and prompt. When my wife had a recurrence and wouldn’t be able to have much quality time even with treatment, she decided to die with dignity. She was the last priority on their list, including over other patients and doctor’s holiday leave and tee times. Don’t expect much compassion if you aren’t earning them money and glory… Go to a smaller hospital, where they actually care!!!

Honestly, this place is a damn joke. The nursing staff in the ER are by far the rudest medical staff I have ever encountered. Dean, who is the CEO is by far the dumbest they come. Who the hell closes the 2nd floor of the ER, which now makes patients wait over 10 hours to be seen. SOME ARE EVEN SITTING ON THE FLOOR!. I was in the ER 9 times and they failed to do the bare basics on me. Finally an MD was smart enough to draw labs and I was admitted immediately inpatient where I was almost placed on dialysis. The hospital never use to be like this. It wasn’t until “Northwestern Medicine” became a thing when patient care went to crap. DO BETTER!

Don’t go here! Beautiful facility but Drs are either incompetent or their hands are tied due to poor hospital administration. They will really waste your time and run Unnecessary tests and treat you like a Guinea pig.

Lack of attention to patient care is outrageous. Forcing patients to wait longer than 30 minutes to go to the bathroom or wash up.

I went to the hospital to check on my gallbladder. I had a MRI and I have not heard from them since then. I called a couple of times to the doctor's office and I wrote an email through my NM chart. Three months later still waiting for any kind of reply. The information on the results of the MRI are in my chart, but I'd really like somebody to tell me and interpret them. I'm not a doctor to do so. They also never send me a bill and I only found out about the charges when I went to my chart to see if they had posted the result and I had a message from the doctor. Nobody had ever told me that the bills would be only placed online. It could have ruined my credit score. I'm 59 years old and I had never received worse medical service in my life.

The ER wait time is 10 hours or more. Receptionist are horrible if they don't feel like your too sick they will leave you waiting longer. They are rude and inconsiderate....the doctors aren't the best either only care to make the money and not treat a patient. Definitely going somewhere else.
