Worst experience ever. I was very unfortunate to give birth to my first daughter there. Incompetent, rude, abusing staff resulted in a terrible butchery, complications that nearly cot my life. Nurses were bullies, incompetent, enjoyeing their power trip over patient. My second child was born abroad, as I couldn t find any other alternative here. Horrible, would never go back there.

Nurses here are absolutely terrible. They have zero concern for their patients and are completely unprofessional. Worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. If I ever get injured again I’m going to make the drive to another hospital no matter how much pain I have.

Be in here a few times and it was not a pleasant experience. My last visit was because my blood pressure was way up, I was feeling sick and had chest pains. So after waiting about 20 mins. The nurse called me, and she leads me to what is or was the ambulance bay. And there is nurses on break sitting a picnic table and a a bunch of screens around a bed and an a EKG machine. She tells me wait there. Behind the screens are garbage bags, old furniture, It was essentially the holding area for crap. I sat there for aproximate, 30 minutes. There was a security camera, and I kept thinking to myself I was being punked!!! What a horrible thing to do to someone who not well and thinking she is having a heart attack. I will never go back there. That place is a disgrace and is an embarressment to health care in Calgary. We are treated like garbage. There is no good excuse for this type of treatment.

I gave birth to my son in this hospital. The nurses in the NICU were great, and the nurses who were in my delivery room were great as well. But every other nurse was absolutely terrible. Their bed-side manner was horrendous, I had an emergency c-section and my son was in the NICU so I wanted to stay one extra night, they said that was fine (which was nice), but as soon as morning came, even before I could eat my breakfast, a nurse came in, took my staples out, packed all my stuff and told me I had to leave. They would not come in to my room to give me my medications I had to ask for them, and when I was in a serious amount of pain one morning they would take their time giving them to me, saying “you shouldn’t have let it get this bad” They should have woke me up in the middle of the night because I was supposed to take the pain meds every 4 hours to keep the pain down. I do not recommend going there to give birth. If you have another option I highly suggest taking it.

Defund this hospital . I have seen elderly people abused by nurses . Neglected . I spoke with one senior who was crying . She had a blood clot and pain. They never gave her a Tylenol . Just watched her suffer . I held her hand it was so sad They should have their funding revoked and be charged with negligence. One of the nurses laughed at her . I reported this and called health minister . I called her family and they are making complaints as well. No one deserves thus abuse especially seniors who often can't speak for themselves. They also make “notes “ on patients and share them with ems ect. If that person is on their bad list -bad treatment . Violating privacy . This is against the law. Protect yourself and Shut this place down!

Just had surgery here 5pins and a plate my doctor “dr le” was great he's what you want in a sergeon knowledgeable and confident. My three day experience started out awesome the nurse in er were awesome had to wait a couple hrs for a bed no big deal. After I was admitted everything was going great I had to wait all day till 9:30pm for surgery again not a big deal...... came out of surgery with a lot more pins and a plate then we had discussed. Coming out of surgery was terrible like it always is painful and blindingly bright bc there recovery room has lights that could melt your retnas off.... the recovery nurses tried hard to get my pain under control ...... then it was back up to my room inn unit 52 and that's when my care got worse and worse..... more disturbing then my care was the poor elderly lady beside me. The night nurses woke her up constantly she was hard of hearing they would ask how her pain was and when she would say sorry I can't hear you they would just walk away. They left her in her own faeces for an Hour and a half she called them twice I called them as well but on it continued. They started treating me like a drug addiction the first morning I woke up from surgery. I want to be very clear I'm not nor have I ever had problems with drug addiction but I was in a lot of pain understandably. I was very curious as to why I had so many screws and a plate and very much wanted to talk to the doctor. I wa told that wouldn't be happening but I could maybe talk to a student. That never happened and I was sick of haveing to ask the nurses to take care of me and decided I was going home ...... I started packing my bag, as I was doing this there was a nurse shift change and the nurses were concerned that I was leaving they said I was free to leave whenever I wanted but that the freezing from my surgery was not fully worn off and the pain might not be manageable from home to scared me so I decided to stay another night. That night I actually had a different nurse who wanted to give me the minimum amount of painkillers at the appropriate times which I understand however if I was home I would've been pain-free instead of suffering through the night until the late night shift came on. Those nurses were great they gave me my pain meds on time and actually asked at what time I wanted them. Next day in the morning nurses came in and asked what I was still doing there. And then a student doctor came in I got to ask questions I was curious about he didn't know why I had more pins or plates. And then Dr. leaking and he asked me what I was still doing there and if I was a big baby I understand why because I was quite funny when I first came in very optimistic and usually I can take a joke and that's all it was it was a joke I know that. But my experience had worn me down And I was sick of being made to feel bad for being there and for not wanting to be in massive amounts of pain. So I started packing my bags again signed the paperwork while I was doing this the nurse came in to handle the elderly loan beside me. The nurse took out her meds looked them and then looked at her computer again and said where is second she's not a diabetic what are they have medicine for a diabetic in here they're always doing this. They had gotten my neighbour up early for her physio. She was confused and they were trying to get her to eat breakfast quickly so they could get it down to physio she said my What ordeal. The Nurse Scoffed and said an ordeal to be in the hospital give me a break. She then told me she had been in this assignment for 2 Weeks Way too long by assignment she means taking care of the elderly lady . I can truly say that I am worried for anybody who has a grandmother or mother any elderly person being taken care of in this facility they are actually in danger
