The cleanliness of our hospital and the food service has shown a steady decline. Our nursing staff are understaffed and overworked. We are held hostage by BC Ferries, economics and hte weather. And like many other isolated communities we suffer from a shortage of family doctors. Thank you for your excellent programming.

I live out of town and was contacted by my family doctor to attend an emergency ward as soon as possible due to results of a previous blood test. I attended and was treated at the Powell River Hospital emergency ward . From the receptionist to the emergency ward staff we were made comfortable and found everyone professional and courteous.
Thanks to Dr. Ricketson, technicians and staff for the excellent treatment that I received.

I love this hospital except for a lack of cafeteria. Staff were always nice. Emergency gets a bit crowed as does the lab…..should have been built bigger with more staff seeing this is a retirement community. Otherwise, I think it is great.

Awful, dark, gloomy, smelly hospital. non doctor staff such as receptionists, etc have horrible attitudes, are rude and grumpy. Also bad experiences with nurses that like to bully and verbally abuse. When I go for lab work everyone in the building seems sad and depressed, the smell and the dark interior lighting sets the mood. And making disabled and older patients go off the property to smoke when there are areas not far from the hospital that are perfectly suitable. Boo on you.
