The nurses run the show here so don't expect anything to be done when you complain. I endured a week of mistakes, rudeness and mostly arrogance amongst the nursing staff. How do you wake up and consciously wear scents to a hospital. Instant headaches! Stay away from this dump!

This is the second time In the last 5 years I have had to have surgery at Qch. Once planned and this time unplanned. Other than a long wait time in the er which I blame on multiple decade, multi government failures the treatment was fantastic. Kind, attentive,informative, a willingness to answer questions and compare different opinions. From the information desk to the er nurses and docs to the CT staff ,surgical team and recovery nurses they went above and beyond. Not too mention a level of patience for people I would have punted through the uprights a long time earlier. Thank you Qch Team!

My 98-yr old father was at QCH for 3 months and it was an utterly horrible experience in more ways than I can describe here. Most staff refused to communicate with his POAs despite repeated requests and complaints. Dr Milllar on the Rehab unit changed his medication without informing the client or POA who were very aware that previous attempt to change this medication were unsuccessful. The medication changed caused an acute renal failure and he would have died in Dr Millar's care. Dr Nabile and the palliative care team saved his life by removing the medication. Dr Millar was fully aware of the cause of his renal failure however his final discharge report was altered to cover up the doctor's arrogant mistake and falsify the medical records. Final reports failed to document the near fatal reaction caused by a medication thereby allowing this error to be repeated. There were many other errors are recorded on all his medical files several of which had a detrimental effect on his ability to secure assisted living. The doctors and patient relations department refused correct identified errors in subsequent reports when the errors caused harm to the patient but were willing to falsify reports to cover their own errors and inadequacies. While 2/4 doctors were amazing the 2 arrogant doctors responsible for the majority of his care actively resisted all communication with POAs and made the overall experience horrible and traumatic. It is only by luck my father survived his experience at QCH and is now flourishing in LTC.

The nurses are rude. People aren't joking when they say this, they are not stressed just rude. You can approach them in the most polite manner to ask a question just once and they'll snap at you for daring to come to them as if you're not a patient. There should be some standard to being a nurse this is ridiculous

Terrible nursing team in the emergency room. My dislocated knee was left dislocated for more than 6 hours with next to no pain medication. I was left in excruciating pain. The nursing team had no compassion, nor did they demonstrate the slightest patient advocacy.

Long wait in the ER, but with only one dr on overnight, that is hardly surprising and more severe cases have to be seen first. I blame Ford and the provincial government for continued cuts to our health service. The hospital does amazingly well regardless. All the Doctors (3) that I saw, and the many nurses, porters and other staff that helped me were unfailingly polite, cheerful, helpful, and wonderful. My care was their priority To quote one porter, “Every patient here is royalty. ” and I certainly felt I was treated as a princess. Many thanks to all.

Just had a R TKR and now doing Physio there. Wonderful facility, great staff and excellent service I have found everyone helpful, considerate and attentive.
