Terrible hospital. My mom was admitted there because she got heart attack. The nurse forgot to put up the arms of the bed. My mother fell from the bed at night while getting up. The staff there didn’t show any concern whatsoever, wasn’t apologetic at all. Had a very bad experience. Don’t go to this hospital unless you have no choice.

Best, Best, Best, Adore this hospital! Best in Ottawa. And General too. Be so proud grate nurses and dr.s You don’t have it easy with some GP such as Dr. Jim Gill, and dr. Hashimoto not seeing pts and tell them to go to emerg.
Very sick Drs. Like not seeing pts and collecting from Ontario Hospital Insurance OHIP. Afraid to get covid.
Very great drs at one time about 20 years ago. Reported to the college. Don’t even appreciate their devoted long term patients. Very sad,

Excellent staff. Doesn’t feel like a hospital. Comfortable friendly. Everyone seems to love their job. Top doctors.

During my recent visit to Emerg at the QCH I was impressed with all the medical staff who treated me, with the exception of one nurse who was THE most rude, uncaring, medical worker I have ever encountered. I have ALWAYS respected nurses’ care, compassion, and ability to handle whatever they are dealt with, but this one should maybe get a job pulling up weeds. God help the weeds! If it weren’t for her attitude and display of ” All these patients give me a pain in the butt, but good, my shift is over”, I would have rated the services received as a 4 instead of a 1. I hope the Management of the Emerg Department recognize who I am speaking about and maybe find out why she thinks rudeness is the way to go. I hate to think of how many people she offends while she was on duty. So sad!!!!!!! I must stress that the rest of the medical staff were very professional and showed the care you hope you’d receive while there.

I was sent to the Queensway with a referral for an xray, as the community xray labs are closed sue to Covid 19. After a run around, the xray department turned me away saying they don’t recognize chiropractor requisitions, and or nurse practitioners. They suggested I go through the emergency department to get a “doctor” to sign off on this.

I had my surgery at this hospital and was pleased with the facilities, the staff and I could not realistically expect any better. The nurses were very helpful and pleasant, I mention a few of them by name: Anna, Amber, Queira, Patrick.

I recently had day surgery on January 15, 2018. The process was extremely efficient from the interview with the Pre Op nurse to registration on the day of surgery to being released later that day. Each contact person was extremely respectful. I especially want to thank the nurses in the Day Surgery Unit who prepared me for surgery and the nurses in the Recovery Room post surgery who took care of me. Each and every nurse was so kind, caring, compassionate and thorough with their care of me. I knew I was in extremely good hands with these nurses. They made me feel cared for every step of the way. Even nurses who were not assigned to me personally made a point of smiling and wishing me well. I also have a special thank you to the nurses in the OR who made me feel calm while waiting for the surgery to begin. I knew I was in excellent hands with Dr. Javidnia and Dr. Ozard. As I was preparing to leave each nurse including the attendant who wheeled me to the car wished me a “Good recovery.” That is when I truly knew I had surgery in the right hospital!

Delivered my son here, the rooms are pretty basic. I would highly recommend opting for the private room, worth every penny! The nurses made this experience amazing, they were friendly, patient and very helpful. Lynn was one our favorites! The hospital was great with providing all the essentials during our stay, diapers, formula, pads, etc. We never felt rushed to leave and they always had my baby's and I best interested in mind. Would definitely recommend this hospital to mommy' to be!
