Needs a lot more oversight. They almost killed my husband.

One of the worst hospitals. Stay away.
The rudest staff, they don’t give you proper diagnosis.
It’s so embarrassing for Canada to let this happen!!
You go there for help, yet you get none!
Nurses don’t know how to triage patients!
What happened to the experienced, sympathetic professional nurses & doctors???
This would not happen in Europe!
The very Best Hospital is by far St. Paul’s & VGh!
If you want to waste your time waiting forever, and still feel you did not receive adequate care!
Like I said it’s embarrassing, I would not ever recommend this place to anyone EVER!
It’s also very filthy there, hire cleaners who get the job done right!!

Total crap, they take blood Sample in check-in area, don’t even have arm chairs for blood, everyone’s supposed to hold there elbow. Broken walls and ceilings in waiting rooms.

I cannot judge the medical procedure for a herniated disc. However my experience with several nurses was a nightmare. It has been 4 years ago with always a lingering feeling about reporting this experience. I am still not over this. Sometimes I am okay but mostly there is this nagging feeling as to why this should have happened.

I just went in for a CT Angio Scan and had the best experience while in the Medical Imaging Dept. I was very nervous but once I arrived I was greeted right away and didn’t have to wait that long to go in. Big thanks to Matthew, Tara and Vera for making the whole visit and procedure comforting. Always helps when everyone has a great sense of humour! Kudos to the team and the admitting staff! Great job!

I was admitted to emergency on Feb 07 Wednesday and them transfered to 6th floor. Later I found that all the currencies, C$ 160/- were removed from my wallet. I guess it was a porter who stole my cash

My wife was in new mental health unit, although there are certainly some kind and compassionate health professionals the nurses were awful, mean , rude and on a power trip knowing the controlled who came and went through there locked doors. My wife was in a very fragile emotional state, I have come everyday for over three weeks at least once a week I was treated like a criminal questioned of my intent, what was in the bag,(same thing everyday, food for her) I present my belongings and my food for inspection every single time, happy to do it, 3 times now I've been spoken to like I'm smuggling contraband. Told “your lucky to be let in” I've never been so upset and emotional my entire life, it's like they have absolutely no concept of the delicate emotional state of some patients suffering from extreme mental and personal challenges. If nowhere else on the campus, this is the department that must have a little extra kindness, compassion, tenderness, I needed a little bit of understanding, a little tenderness having my most cherished wife suffering alone in the ward. Every single day 4 pm. Dinner in a bag , last night I was treated like I came rob the joint. The treatment I've received, is nothing at all compared to the insensitive , poewer hungry , burnt out negative interaction of at least 60percent of nursing staff. Disgusting what there doing to the reputations of all the angels. That are nursing staff who do the most am azing work to help there fellow man , there neighbors , there community. Whoever is in charge of front line training and representation of these people are the real problem, whoever is supposed to be supervising these departments should be sent. Retraining or demotion. To 60% of the MHU nursing staff……. You should be ashamed of yourselves. , the other 40 % know exactly what I'm talking about and need to be accountable for allowing this to go on right before there eyes. Clayton Orr

Absolute garbage service. For people solely involved in the care of others, attention, respect and even basic human decency is so sorely lacking. In an emergency situation, I was told an xray to confirm an IUD lodged in my abdomen would take 3 weeks. The emerg doc performed an ultrasound and told me the IUD was 'safe'. When I asked for a second opnion, flat out told that that wouldn't be necessary. If you value your health and your life, stay the hell away from this place.
