I would like to thank all of the staff that looked after my wife today Feb. 14, 2024 before, during and after her hip replacement surgery! She had a great experience, from Dr K. Stephen and the pre surgery team as well the surgery team, to Nurse Matt and Mikaela in Surgery recovery 2. 4th floor. Friendly staff through out the hospital made us feel so comfortable!

Absolute the worst place to go when you need medical attention! My mothers nurse was rude on arrival and tried to blame my moms condition on anxiety. She said her CT was clear and she didn’t have a stroke. When I stated this is not anxiety she stated maybe it was her calcium level. Said it was elevated. I asked what her level was and she didn’t even know. She had to look it up. Turns out she was well within normal range. The experience went from bad to worse. I asked for extra labs to be drawn, urine, MRI etc. I told her and the doctor, in my gut I know this is a stroke. The next nurse yells down the hall to the doctor about my mother. No sense or privacy in this place. I went to speak with the doctor about the breach of privacy and he was in the hallway talking to another doctor, I approach and wait to speak. His back is to me and he says to the other doctor l, âI don’t know what the hell is wrong with the lady at the end of the hallâ. I at that moment say excuse me. We all would like to know. I know you said the CT is clear but this is a stroke. Bad to worse, the following day another doctor says she had a stroke. They completely missed the diagnosis although I stated it all evening and all night long. They have no medication or treatment for over 12 hours! No IV fluids. Nothing!!! I asked about fluids to prevent dehydration after being there for 7 hours!! And again it goes bad to worse. We had so many issues. I called the âpatient and family experience officeâ. That office is a joke. I went through what happened. The rep tells me âmy hands are tiedâ, I will document your concerns but can’t bring them forward because my mom needs to call and give consent!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! She is admitted as a patient having just had a stroke and you want me to burden her with this!!! Keep away from this place. The doctor and nurses involved will be reported to the appropriate colleges!!

It’s the worst hospital I’ve been to in my life, likely to die if it’s that urgent.. if you say you feel faint or nauseous they’ll just put you in a chair instead of a bed, commonly will see staff walking back and forth down the hall but doing nothing. They wait until maximum parking time before doing anything with you

This hospital is the worst of the worst ever. Please go somewhere else for medical attention. The nurses are nonchalant and extremely uncaring.
I took my wife to their emergency she waited there from 1AM midnight till 9AM UNATTENDED. She was throwing up and crying and they still couldn’t show any form of care. I am very upset with them tbh. Everything about them is completely off.

If the allegation of the person below is true, I recommend a class action lawsuit by black employees against RVH. Use the law to make them kneel. I do believe the allegations to be true knowing what I know about RVH. Look at the leadership- do you see any people of color? NO.

One thing I notice about this place, all the white staffs gang up against all black staffs. Managers are not helpful. They hate blacks. They are quick to fire a black employee over nothing and forgive the white ones for huge mistakes. I am white and have seen how blacks are been treated. The blacks are most caring Cos they all work with fear everyday which is not good. Sad this still happen in this century
