My husband had a stroke and was admitted into Rush Copley Aurora, Ortho/Neuro. The doctors were all great but the nurses were very rude. One night after being given medication, my husband started to have hallucinations. He called me at 8am and I told him to call the nurse for help. While I was on the phone, he explained what was happening to the nurse. She kind of dismissed what he was saying. I when I arrived at the hospital, I overheard the nurse Kayla in telling the doctor that he came in with blurry vision and now pretending to have hallucinations. I interrupted her and explained that wasn't what my husband said. Yes, his vision was always blurry but he never had hallucinations. Afterward, the nurse Kayla refused to respond to us. Instead she sent a student intern or medical assistant. By noon we were told you are being discharged. I replied,â we are waiting for neurologist and heart monitor. The medical assistant told me Kayla canceled neurologist and she didn't know anything about a heart monitor. I replied that we are not leaving without a heart monitor. We then requested to speak with the head nurse. After speaking with us the head nurse call the neurologist and we spoke to him. She also had staff come in to place heart monitor. Nurse Kayla was sent to complete discharge. I asked if the prescription for blood pressure medication and insulin was sent to Walmart. Kayla replied that No medication for his diabetes was prescribed by doctors. I said, â I was told he needs this medication.â With a dry response kayla said that he has an appointment in 2week to see a Diabetes Education and she will give him the medication. We had no medicine and no primary care doctors. I call Rush Copley the next day to find a primary care doctor. I'm so thankful that a Rush Copley operator spent the time to help me find a primary care physician with a new Patient opening that day at Rush Copley medical center clinic. The doctor at Rush Copley medical center was completely surprised that NO medication was give to us upon discharge. The nurse at this hospital are horrible.

Rush Copley was by far the worst place to go. Some staff were nice, but they are unwilling to work with people for their bills, mess up peoples bills and then – in one instance, bill someone else instead of you and still don’t fix it! They should be sued for falsyfing documentation and charging outrageous amounts for services that they don’t even do or do half-assed. Billing department is a joke!

Had the worst experience of my life while visiting Rush-Copley E.R. dept. Dr. Nguyen, treated me like a filthy animal. She was rude, condescending, and informed me that I had to right to be in the hospital as this was for ‘hypothetical’ stroke patients. She gave me a lecture on how to adequately use my insurance 🙁 All I needed was piece of mind as I have a small tumor in head… I had the worst migraine of my life and had never gone to ER for this. It is appalling that someone who is in charge of your healthcare would ever treat anyone this way.

I have used this facility for years. Do not hesitate coming back for more. Have had numerous surgeries there and all always goes smoothly.
