I'm a patient that's been coming to this hospital forever. The nurses never change - most of them need a reality check and wake up because this isn't high school. I hear nurses gossip about others or even other patients. They are not professional AT ALL. No smiles, no caring tone of voice, everything is done fast like, "I'm here to do my job, thats it" - They do not give a flying hoot about the patients. They're more occupied talking about how tired they are, or how their life is going, or who cheated on who with who, always sitting down at the station. The difference of urgency between here and Toronto is WILD to me. These nurses could not spend one day in a busy hospital like in Toronto or Ottawa. They need way more modern training and maybe a little attitude adjustments program, if that exists. I've stayed at this hospital multiple times. Its sad to say that I'm used to this kind of service, which I shouldn't be. There is one particular nurse that will remain nameless, but I always have trouble with her. Rude, stubborn, doesn't listen, blames stuff/mistakes on me, etc.. If someone really wants to fix things around here - start by firing nurses that make us feel like a pile of garbagee. We're in the hospital for a reason. We don't need others around us to treat us like crap because we already feel like crap. We need compassion, empathy, understanding, PATIENCE!

In March my Mother was admitted weighing 30 kg with Alzheimers. I was told she could not go home and she would not have to leave the hospital. A few weeks later I was told she had to leave the hosppital due to covid. With no where to go they put her in a cab alone and sent her to a dark old basement of a nursing home. Thanks.

Hope I won’t need to go there for day. Some nurses are good but they have to work harder because of the other lazy one, some just don’t care, I will go to smooth rock fall instead,

Wait time is horrendous!! If your lucky you might get a nice nurse but most the time you will have a snarky/rude nurse . Also if you need to stay the night be prepared to hear there loud obnoxious girl talk/laghing while your trying to sleep at 3am ! If i stepped on a rusty nail id rather pull the damb nail out of my foot myself then deal with them again

I prefer to go to Smooth Rock Falls or Cochrane Hospital.
