The JGH used to be a great hospital many years back but since the mid 2000s, I found the service and staff getting worse and worse. It’s crowded, most doctors are in a rush, nurses and staff rude to the point of affecting care. Example: I stayed in the cardiac ward, require nitro spray. One day, a nurse who was to administer the nitro spray to me shook the bottle strongly. I told her you’re not supposed to shake it and bottle has clear warning not to shake it before administration. She rolled her eyes and said she was overloaded. I also hear how if you ever need assistance as an in-patient and ring for help-good luck with getting someone to come. The JGH has gone way down in service and in professionalism.

En tout cas l’urgence c’est à éviter…j’ai apprit de ma propre expérience. Ils te regarde à peine et je me suis senti comme un numéro… “next”… Pas grave si tu dois revenir car t’est pas toujours bien….

Dirty hospital. Arrogant doctors. You’re just a number, not a human being. There are way better hospitals in Montreal.

Fantastic hospital. You wont find nicer people!!! They saved my life about 4 times this year…what can I say?! No the rooms dont have air conditioning- but they know when you need urgent care and you get it. I had an operation with the new robot, cancer follow up care, emergency care, chemo, radiation, psychotherapy. You name it, they provided it and will TLC”
