They don’t take infection control seriously and think it’s just a big joke.

Horrible and downright nasty place, your better off going elsewhere than going to ssrh.

They think only of there bottom line and will crush anyone if it suits there purpose. They insult patients beside there backs and treat there employees horribly. If only people had a voice to speak out against big business. You are horrible SSRH

Not modern. Not ventiliated. Wait times are horrible. Multiple experiences of staff talking to you like you were a child. Need to be more caring.

I had the unlucky experience of being taken to Bridgewater Emerg and I was shocked at how little they looked at my files as have chronic conditions. Were looking at file with someone with my name even though had my health card. I was in most severe pain ever and waited in wheel chair doubled over after paramedics had to leave me. Even fentanyl didn't give me relief. Told had cubicle and they didn't . So Even though vomiting blood and blood in urine put me outside waiting area. This is not acceptable care and then go home with pain killers and not telling me much of what I should do while waiting for urologist or if going to forward to my GI. Oh, please let a love one in with you as it was horrible on my own. I have acute kidney desease and crohns and I could get worse and have dialysis if not looked after with proper care. I had to tell them as was going to give me meds that could have caused kidney failure. I go to Ambulatory weekly and have to say care and nurses there are excellent and like family so really shocked by emerg. I know the pressure in health care but no excused for not showing any compassion or feeling for someone in such pain.. One more thing there were pills in the only one bathroom laying on the floor the whole time I was there and not removed. Filthy…..ONE bathroom for all patients, just ridiculous. The main doctor was fine and overworked but can't say much about rest of staff not doing much. I think I would drive to city if have too in future or knock myself out. It has affected me dramatically emotionally as terrified if whatever it is returns. Would hope someone reads this and addresses some of these issues.

I Wish I could rate lower, never had a positive experience here. If you look to be mistreated never taken seriously and would like to leave feeling worse then when arriving look no further then this joke of a hospital, a shinning star of the failure that is the NS Healthcare system. Your employees have absolutely no bedside manor or compassion. My last visit there I was denied being a support person to someone who greatly needed it during a first time uncomfortable appointment not to mention a minor! Is that even legal?! Considering such an appointment. I was met with Extreme rudeness as I asked why I could not attend on their behalf due to their anxiety on top of a very uncomfortable new situation they had to endure, the very unkind ultrasound technician informed its a procedure they could surely handle alone, which i assured they did not want or feel comfortable doing without being supported. when confronted by the question " what is the issue with me supporting them during such a thing" was met with " the issue is i dont have people sit in on such things " as nothing else official could come to her at the time. Just another Healthcare worker with a god complex with in no way following any real hospital regulations. Why because you intended to humiliate and embarass a minor and make them feel very comfortable and purposely doing without adult supervision! You should be ashamed of yourself! Long story short do not go here make the drive somewhere with compassion and competent staff especially If you would like to avoid serious mistreatment and trauma.

I was treated as well,or better, then I expected in my distraught situation, by doctors and ancilliary staff included. Andrew, my caregiver was so patient in applying stitches. The whole process of caring for me was smooth, if an emergency can be that, and helped me forgot my situation. Hats off, and thank you so much. Steve Tzagarakis ...admitted on Dec 10/2022

Hspt is beyond filthy.T old to use a washroom for a urine sample with urine and blood all over. The dirt around the hspt equipment was probably cleaned 40 yrs ago. The cleaning staff clean around but do not clean. The nurses has no consideration or tolerance. They sit behind the desk laughing or using their phones. The doctors sit with them and they laugh and talk about patients. I do not understand why this hsot is open. It is a waste of taxpayers money. That's the only reason the drs and staff are there For the money. They do not care about the patients.
