I am so pleased with this hospital. Everyone is so kind and has tried to help me so much during my illness.

I was very sick by the time I went to SOCH, with pnemonia. Since I am on medicaid my treatment was not very good. I was hooked up to i.v. fluid and I had to carry the bag around with me even into the toilet ( that was interesting) because the nurse said “they had no poles” . It was about three hours later someone in dressy clothes came by and saw my friend holding the bag as we took a walk and asked if we needed a pole I said well yes we do! He came right over with one and I was finally able to hang my I.V. bag!! If your sick and on medicaid it is a nightmare. It was a very bad experiance for me. When you are sick you have no energy to fight but you should not have to, you should be treated like someone who is sick.

The nursing staff are excellant. A few doctors seemed to be under alot of stress before my procedures. A couple of times I was not acknowledged by them when I went in for procedure. Not even a hello.

I thought the emergency room was good. Was not happy with radiology , the lab , or my care in general. Initially it seemed ok, the nursing staff good, I have little confidence in the doctors in and working out of the hospital. Of course there a a few good ones. As of this report , I have a five month old infection in my knee that won’t go away. I have little confidence in the infectious disease doctors as time has gone on.

Could not have been friendlier or more caring. Great experience working with the staff.
