I am so pleased with this hospital. Everyone is so kind and has tried to help me so much during my illness.

I was very sick by the time I went to SOCH, with pnemonia. Since I am on medicaid my treatment was not very good. I was hooked up to i.v. fluid and I had to carry the bag around with me even into the toilet ( that was interesting) because the nurse said “they had no poles” . It was about three hours later someone in dressy clothes came by and saw my friend holding the bag as we took a walk and asked if we needed a pole I said well yes we do! He came right over with one and I was finally able to hang my I.V. bag!! If your sick and on medicaid it is a nightmare. It was a very bad experiance for me. When you are sick you have no energy to fight but you should not have to, you should be treated like someone who is sick.

The nursing staff are excellant. A few doctors seemed to be under alot of stress before my procedures. A couple of times I was not acknowledged by them when I went in for procedure. Not even a hello.

I thought the emergency room was good. Was not happy with radiology , the lab , or my care in general. Initially it seemed ok, the nursing staff good, I have little confidence in the doctors in and working out of the hospital. Of course there a a few good ones. As of this report , I have a five month old infection in my knee that won’t go away. I have little confidence in the infectious disease doctors as time has gone on.

Could not have been friendlier or more caring. Great experience working with the staff.

Lab— had blood drawn in the lab as an outpatient. The tech was proficient— but—ugh…absolutely NO personality! She made me feel like a watermelon—a ‘lab specimen' or an inhuman blob she was compelled to perform a boring service upon. I spoke to her a couple times and she didn't even acknowledge my voice. I usually praise SOCH for the kindness and professionalism of the entire caregiving staff (the nurses are exemplary!!!) but… this time…NO. I won't go on and on, but suffice it to say— I felt like I had no value or connection to anything with a heart and soul. I AM xglad that I'm not critically I'll and /or in need of comfort from the milk of human kindness…because I would soon die of thirst in THAT empty bucket. OK… I just think it needed to be said. Thank you to all the WONDERFUL people who make SOCH a great hospital our community is SO proud of!!

I like that there is a valet (not on weekends) because I can run in get blood drawn and get out, but I did go on a Saturday this time and they are understaffed on Saturdays only 3 people running the whole thing and there was a lot of people waiting I was there for 2 hrs just to get blood test.

I definitely would not recommend anyone sick to go to this hospital. Poor quality of care went to the emergency room last night my daughter with broken fingers there was no doctor on staff just a nurse practitioner and 2 nurses on staff it took hours to get an xray. And then they told us there wasn't any one to look at it wrapped it up sent her home to go look for a real doctor unreal couldn't imagine a real sickness such as a heart attack or trauma go the extra miles to a real hospital..
