The facility looks great, but left a needle on my bed when I was going into a cat scan. Rushed me out twice. Everytime I bring a resident from my work there they always rush them out as if they are not worth their time. We end up going back several times to get people treated.

Facilities looks to be top notch. Value is about average or what you expect to pay. Service is Terrible. Made to feel like your a number and extremely rushed threw your appointments. Your cut off a lot when trying to explain what is going on so often that you just accept the Dr. Knows best without listen to what your saying. Hardly ever get to see your doctor so you have to go threw multiple doctors assistant hoping they don’t miss something because they are not qualified like your Dr. to recognize symptoms of a major issue. You fell frustrated and not listened to or valued as a patient. All in all it is a very sad state to see that it is all about how many people they can feed threw the door in order to maximize profits. I miss the old days where you actually could spend more than the 5 minutes time every visit getting to know your Dr. and you could trust what they where telling you is accurate because you don’t even know who they are as a person.

I felt like the nurses on the 1st floor surgical unit were not as attentive as they could have been. My brother had a week long stay on that floor and I had to ask for just the simple things a person needs for day to day hygiene such as deodorant, toothbrush, etc. I ended up just going to the store and getting him some supplies. I also had to change the bedding once because no one had noticed there was blood on the sheets and also fecal matter. There is enough staff, I feel like and he should not have felt like asking for things he needed were a burden. The forth floor in the gastrointestinal post surgery unit he was in was much more smoothly run and the nurses seemed to really care if he had what he needed and they were also really good at communicating what was going on with his condition, they were welcoming, helpful, and pleasant!

This has become a horrible hospital. No doctors came in to see my husband after the first day. He got severe Thrush and couldn't get any one to listen to him. His room was never cleaned the entire week he was there. The medicines he was on caused the Thrush but no one would check his mouth. I wouldn't send my sick cow here, let alone any loved ones.

I'm giving this ED two stars because the first visit I had 4/25 went smoothly but my ED room had blood splatter on the walls & a dirty used bandaid on the floor. My visit today (4/27) did not go smoothly at all and it's because my nurse Elysia. I came in with extreme pain in my back & lower abdomen. I had to constantly repeat what was going on with me. At one point my nurse, Elysia gave me a pain medication I was unfamiliar with so I asked how long it should take effect. She said 15-20 minutes. During the next 15-30 I found my pain was increasing. I paged for the nurse, got some random person who I explained what was going on. He said he'd let my nurse know. Meanwhile I begin crying due to my pain. I wait a bit longer and page the nurse again. Once again I got a complete stranger. Instead of repeating myself because I was definitely overwhelmed at this point, i simply said I wanted to go home. Some time later my nurse, Elysia finally arrives but her tone is now aggressive & rude. So much so that I decided I no longer wanted to be treated at this hospital so she removed my IV and discharged me. I told my husband we would go downtown to Butterworth instead. Unfortunately on my way out walking towards the parking lot, I momentarily lost consciousness & fell. My husband thought it best I go back inside & I agreed as long as Elysia was no longer my nurse. My new nurse though was amazing. If I could just give her stars, I'd give her 5. She was calm & patient with me as she explained things. I deal with a panic disorder & sometimes doctors & that atmosphere can trigger it. I believe her name was Cristin & she really helped ease my mind. AND apparently it's ok for their medical team to call you a “difficult patient” when their staff is treating you poorly. I also find it interesting that Monday the staff had no troubles respecting my pronouns & calling me by the correct name and yet Wednesday I was constantly deadnamed & called “her” repeatedly. My chart states my name & my pronouns.

Rudeness and total disrespect by emergency room staff . Patient was placed in room 11 which houses 4 patients at one time only divided by a curtain. HIPPA and patient rights are being violated along with a display of blatant discrimination for minority pregnant woman . RN Joshua that was working on October 8,2021 at 12pm was rude and very disrespectful! I recommend all minority pregnant patients avoid Blodgett Hospital at all costs as your health and safety are not a priority at this spectrum health location .

I've had 3 surgeries here, Dr. Rodriquez was great. 2018 kidney stones they were terrible. Pain meds late after pain had kicked back in. left phone charger offered to send it to me never got it. told my Dr. I wanted to go to Metro now on. he told me we'd use Butterworth. If he wasn't so good I would leave Spectrum go Mercy or Metro
