Took my wife to see her primary care MD for chest pain at the Smizer Mill location. She was recently released from the hospital for a 4 night stay due to Pneumonia. She also has COPD and has been battling Huntingtons Disease for years. She walks very slowly and has to use a walker. The MD wanted a new chest X-ray and specific blood work. We walked across the hall and signed in for blood to be drawn first. There were about six people ahead of her on the list. We waited for her turn and she was finally called. She went in and was in the room for a couple of minutes and came out and told me that the order was incorrect on the paperwork as to what the bloodwork was for. Being an RN herself she knew the paperwork had to be corrected. We walked back to the MD desk and they fixed the paperwork with no issue and we went back to the waiting area and sat down. There are two women working this blood draw area. One is a shorter woman with long braids. She has taken my blood before and has been pleasant and professional. The other woman is much taller and has short hair with a large backside. She oozes attitude. I remembered her from the time I was in there previously. She opens the door, checks the list and calls a name and then stands and eyes that person up and down as to see if they're worthy of her presence. Please dont take my word for it, you have to see for yourself. The next time the door opened I got her attention and pointed to my wife so she knew we were back with corrected paperwork. Her response was "Ill be with you in a minute", called two more names and took two different people in and left my wife sit and wait some more. The other woman knew it was wrong and came back to the door and told my wife she would be next. I could see that other people in the waiting room were uncomfortable with the situation. My wife is physically in a bad way with her health and its not hard to tell. My wife struggles just to get up and walk with the walker much less sit in the waiting area any longer than she needed to. This employee had absolutely no compassion at all for my wife especially due to the fact that the error was no fault of her own. I know that its hard to find help these days in any field but to have someone in a medical field who is that callous toward anyone struggling that bad shouldn't be in a medical profession. Come on St Clare, you need to do better.

This is the least caring hospital I’ve ever been to in my life. It’s as though the higher up are in a power struggle. Was disrespected and talked down by nurses and doctors alike. If you love yourself and your family members don’t go to this band aid hospital. Horrible horrible and dirty on top of it. They wait until you are in distress to help you.

Walked into the ER and I was getting tests within 5 minutes. Everyone was very compassionate and caring. The facility is like a resort. Everything clean and new. The staff made me feel as though I was the only one in ER, although it was very busy.

Dr on call never touched my foot when that was the issue, and could not read the Xray properly (according to the Dr I went to the next morning). Nurse could not re-wrap my foot so I did it myself. I will drive further to another facility next time I need.
