I am stunned that this place hasn’t been investigated yet. With all the social movements these days, these guys get away with mentally and sometimes psychically abusing the patients. I learned first hand what a horrible place this is. I hope that someone is looking out for those that go through it every day.

This hospital needs to be investigated. The way I was treated for my mental illness was inhumane.

    ENFORCE YOUR NON-SMOKING CAMPUS RULE.

I had surgery for ovarian cancer here and I cannot believe how many times I had to walk through (or be WHEELED THROUGH by an orderly whose clothes stank of fresh butts) clouds of cigarette smoke….while being treated for CANCER…was mindblowing.
And yet there are signs everywhere about their “non-smoking campus”. I wish this site would let me post pics – I took one with my phone of 3 nurses and an orderly smoking together on top of the goddamn nonsmoking symbol. If that’s not a symbol of Hamilton, I don’t know what is.

Either enforce the anti-smoking rules or stop pretending they exist and rebrand yourself as Hamilton’s smokiest, smelliest hospital and get on with it.

I went to st joes suicidal and sleep deprived. A nurse pulled my pants down in front of some nursing students while I was having a break down. Then the hospital put me in seclusion and then judged my behaviour while locking me in a room with a light beamed in my face and no toilet or running water. They force fed me medications while I was in here and informed me I wouldn’t be let out until I took them. They would often lie to me and gave me disgusting food that I did not like. This hospital needs to be investigated as soon as possible

If you need an iv in emergency they expect you to hold with your hands or hang it by a nail. They also dont clean all parts of the emergency regularly.

Most disgusting place Ive ever been. Blood all over the walls and floors, doctors tried to administer the incorrect medication(dextromethorphan instead of dexamethasone. This is med school 101), incorrect made up diagnoses, blood gone missing. All stories Ive heard, witnessed or experienced. 6 people killed themselves in the psych ward in one year, the ward they dont even lock or have security posted at and lets not even get into the prolife shit thats posted everywhere. Dont like dying? Dont go here.

Security guards abused me. A nurse pulled my pants down IN front of some students to give me a needle. I was forced into a room with no toilet and forced to use a cup to pee and poop in. This place should be shut down.
