It’s the downtown hospital so it makes sense that it’s scummy however most of the nurses are kind and helpful. Now and then you come across a powertripping, arrogant and dismissive staff (cue the blonde directing patients in the ER tonight) the waits take hours whether there are 30 people waiting or 5…yay Ontario Healthcare!

st joes are involved with lots of community stalking no coast I didnt record you guys at the motel back two years ago it was a really bad misunderstanding. Hopefully they will read this review and know what it means and maybe this community stalking will stop probaly not unfortunately. It would be nice but probaly not. Im sure they have a feeling who is writing this review this is not an insult it would just be very nice if this would just stop but Im sure thats to much to ask for.

It has been over three months that my cousin died in St. Joes and only now can I think about it all. She was situated on the 5th floor, Mary Grace Wing. The wing was filthy and my shoe stuck to the floor. The doctors are arrogant, elusive, impossible to find and unwilling to meet with me. Head nurse is a heartless woman, very rude, condescending. Dead eyes. Some nurses, cleaners were trying, but you could see thy were climbing up a high hill. I have seen hospitals world wide, in poor countries, but this place was ugly, nasty. Overall, they treat patients and family as imbeciles. The physicians were really ignorant yet convinced of their grandeur. I’d rather have a martini with cyanide than end up here.

Went to the ER for an eye infection after antibiotic treatment failed. It was a long time there, but that’s how ER is. The staff worked very hard in very difficult conditions–crowded with many patients, huge backlog–but they gave me good care and the nurses and doctors met me with good humour. I had a CT scan and an IV antibiotic to deal with my scary eye infection and walked out with a prescription and my condition improved. I feel for the people working there, it’s a tough environment but they gave me good care. I can see with the ER could be hard for patients but I think there needs to be more investment in this hospital and more support from the admin and the system for this staff.

5th floor nurses do not take your feeling into concertation they use intimidation to keep patients. They are very verbally abusive and with hold medication if the nurses have been upset by being told patient know their rights. this is had happen to me in 2019 and 2023 this cant be allowed nurses who don't show patient caring and respect when a patient is uncomfortable about something they should listen and help doesn't matter what the patient ask they are always right. Never come to this hospital as they don't follow patient bill of rights or even care for them. i could die and they wouldn't care as i had the chief nurse come in and talk down to me as i was trash not a patient also got told by chief nurse that she doesn't care as i think she should lose her job as this professional field isn't for her also a nurse by the name of bhawna should also not be in the medical profession either as she refused me care

why our healthcare system is in such disarray when they waste the time of everyone involved they do nothing for you to waste your time I go anywhere but here. I would not recommend Dr. Caddeau as a surgeon not an experience I wish in others.
