All you hear is the bad. I was forced to go to outpatients at St Marthas, the staff were kind and helpful I was admitted within minutes had surgery before the day was out. Could not have been better. Teresa MacEachern

Prépare to wait five hours and be judged by ignorant uncaring overweight nurses before you ever see a doctor. So little doctors. So many overweight rather small minded female nurses that seem to enjoy wielding the power they have. It's a really sad place.

Had pain in my side, hip and down my leg, to the point were I would.not sit or stand with out being in pain and had to wait nine hours in the waiting room. Waiting room was full and Doctor only gave me ten minutes to discuss what was wrong with me. Than another time was in the ER with Constipation and had not gone to the bathroom in four days wait 8.5 hours only to leave with out seeing a doctor. The time I spent there I would hear the nurses talking to each other and seeing other patients come and going. Need more Docoters in the Emergency Room than one at a time.

This is the worst hospital ever. Always "short staff" they say and the doctor is sleeping( you gotta wait until he or she wakes up). I saw people with bad cuts bleeding on the floor and they where there for hours in the triage room ! I'm sorry but something needs to done !!!!

Nursing staff is horrible, no compassion or proper care. I understand the extra stress of the pandemic but I have been to other hospitals during the pandemic and have never been treated this terribly. I can't even put into words how horrible all of the nursing staff was.

Not enough Doctors. ER is horribly slow. This problem needs to be addressed for basic human decency. Canada is not a 3rd world country. We can do better than this.

Takes forever to get help even if you are the only one there.

after passing out in class from pain and being sent to emerge it really sucked to have a nurse come into the room, not introduce herself, not ask me my name and stick a needle of who knows what into my arm. legally nurses have to check their patients name and date of birth before giving medication. they also have to ensure the patient is not allergic and give them the right to refuse. I still don’t know what she gave me as all she said was “this will help” and then rolled her eyes when I said that it burns and asked what she gave me. I didn’t want to go to the hospital in the first place and to be treated like that in a place where you are supposed to get support and care really made me upset. to top it off the doctor was rude and mocked me for having “period pain”. Passing out because of pain is not normal. I just asked if I could leave and said ill find a way to deal with it myself. I wouldn’t go to St. Martha’s again, even if I am dying.

This hospital has some of the best technicians anywhere. I have had a few difficult tests and the technicians were so kind and helpful to get me through them. They really went the extra mile. We are lucky to have people like this working in this hospital. Thank you so much.

There needs to be better training for the nurses to treat patients and family members with a little bit of respect.
