Do not recommend going here if you want help! Most of the nurses are rude and uncaring and they don’t listen to what you need. I’ve been here over 24hoirs and haven’t been given breakfast, lunch or supper. No one checks in on you except if you ring the bell. When they come they make you feel horrible and that your wasting there time, and they don’t help me!

Dr Le Roux is a great doctor. He is humorous and personable. He made me confident that I would get better soon as he was very confident in his practice, diagnosis, and potential treatment. I was disappointed when my doctor was changed as the new doctor I was given lacked confidence, often questioned himself in my presence, didn’t give me the optimal drug for my illness until I was there for three days, smelled like fresh cigarette smoke, and was not personable. He seemed like the kind of doctor who was here for the pay check only. Most of the nurses were rude and acted like I was a burden, except for Tess and Fletcher who were very kind and patient. They constantly made sure I was as comfortable as possible and that I had everything I needed. They also took time to (briefly) get to know me by asking simple, human questions. So much as to make me feel at home, yet without taking away precious time from their many other patients. I felt neglected by the third day of my stay. Tess was my night nurse the first two nights and Fletcher worked the days. On the third day, I left a urine sample in the washroom that sat there for 7 hours! Even then, nobody took it. I asked for a Tylenol and a nurse said she would ask my assigned nurse… i never ended up finding out whether I could have a Tylenol or not..

Also, not a place to go if you’re a type 1 diabetic as NOBODY here knew modern methods to treat any illness (related to or not) of type 1 diabetic patients. Their method, the “sliding scale” is prehistoric and ineffective for any type 1 and they have never seen insulin pumps before. Likely best to go to High Level. I wish I had known all of these things before coming. I was there for four days and nobody ever offered me clean sheets for my bed. Everything was literally bare minimum. The room was clean. The lady who delivered my meals was kind.

Not a place to go if you need help! Some nurses are good. But the hospital is dirty and the medical treatment you recieve is not great. My mom was sent home be a demeaning and cruel doctor who refused to believe there was anything wrong with her. A few days later they revived her lab work results and she had a major major infection the needed to be dealt with immediately. She now will need antibiotics for over a month and is in a lot of pain. Again not a place to go if your looking for help medically.
