Unfortunately have had to have a couple hospital stays here, due to me being an absolute clutz. Nurses/docs are very professional and kind. There are TVs in every room, as well as two sitting areas and a very nice indoor courtyard that is very soothing to sit in. Food is pretty good for hospital food. It's a smaller hospital so it's very quiet and has a very non institutional feel.

My experience from one of the biggest gong shows in medicine. From watching two nurses give a needle to a patient. One of the nurses dropped the needle on the floor after the top was taken off, and then the nurse picked it up and finish giving the patient a shot.

Wait time in ER unreasonable. Went in with head injury, put in a chair, curtain closed. No one checked on me, as hours passed was freezing, severe headache, fatigue and feeling nausea. Between waiting room for 1 hour and ER, left on my own 4 hrs and 45 mins later. Nurse saw me leave, said nothing. Went home to bed and prayed I would wake up in morning. Never again. Unacceptable. At least check on patient!

Went to ER on May 24/2023.
Waited in waiting room for over 5 hours. I knew it would be at least another 1-2 hrs once I was called into the ER. Left without seeing a doctor. I could understand having to wait that long in a city, but for a small town, that’s ridiculous. Don’t go close to the supper hour as the doctors take 2 hrs for their supper break! At least that has been my experience. I must add that the triage ladies were very kind and apologetic.

This facility is a hidden gem, and the residents of Stettler and area should be thankful for the place. As with most things, there is always room for improvement. Lots of great renovations occuring.

Was there from out of province. Found the Dr quite unprofessional as he was yelling. Told him he didn’t need to and he said he did.? Also found the nurse very uncaring and felt she just wanted us out. My husband was totally deaf due to an ear impaction, and I felt like we were just wasting their time. Maybe they were burnt out..certainly unprofessional.
