Im currently here with my son. With 40 ° fever. Been here for an hour and requested for tests to be done. He is now shaking and having shortness of breath as a result of the fever. Im asking for help from the nurses and the only reply i got is that they are busy. Someone should never feel helpless at a hospital. I told the nurse do you see him shaking. And she said “i get that but they are busy.”

This is very unnceptable. It feels like they dont care about kids at all. This is awefull!

I was on a day surgery. After the surgery and recovery time was done. Even tho i did not feel well yet and i let know to nurses that i wanted to vomit and i felt dizzy, i was drop of by a nurse close to the main doors. My husband was not there yet and she asked me if that was ok to stay there by myself. I said yes as i was drowsy and i was not thinking. After another nurse saw me and she brought me back to the recovery room and gave me a bag in the case i need to vomit. I felt it was not the best attention ever. I have been in Misericordia Hospital and I have never felt rush to go home…

They need to move the nurses desk so that they can have private conversations that patients do not over hear.

This is an awful place. I was in the waiting room and a nurse came out from inside the ER to the ER waiting room and said “you will not be seen right now unless you’re dying.” “So stop asking when you are next”. Lots of people with small children there. One doctor on always at this hospital. It’s just not enough for the amount of people living in and around this area. Just go to Devon or in the city. Don’t waste your time.

The care at this hospital when I first arrived was unbelievable. The Doctors that I had were so very good with me. The patience, care, friendliness, especially the concerns they had and very knowledgeable, I knew I was in good hands and was not alone.

Stony plain hospital. Is the worse hospital I have ever been too , daughter was there for extreme fast heart rate She had to wait 6 hours !!! And still didn't see a doctor We noticed doctors visiting with nurses drinking Tim Hortons coffee I really wish we could clean up the abused healthcare in Alberta

Don't even bother. I cut my leg pretty bad - waited 7 hours (didn't even get a patient bracelet - not sure how it works but pretty sure they didn't finish the process of triage, since the nurse who took me in said 'actually its only been 5' even tho I literally have a photo timing when I got out of triage). Over 7 hours, the skin flap shriveled, died, parts had started to awkwardly heal. At times it was impossible to even find someone to talk to - the triage nurse disappeared. I stood in the triage line hoping someone would notice - no one came. I was eventually called in, but after another hour and a half wait, being told the skin was dead and may not be stitchable, bs assurances that the doctor was coming asap to stitch me up, I lost all patience and left. I don't know what I'm going to do now as my leg is still aching and in need of stitches. I will never go back to this hospital though. Save yourself some time and go literally anywhere else.

They do not care about people. They don't care about patients at all. Doesn't matter when you go. Expect a 12 hour wait. Doesn't matter if you have chest pain or not.

Neither myself or my fiance will ever go back to this facility again. 7+ hours of waiting (the waiting room was not even half full) , for a possible blood clot, only to see patient after patient with the sniffles and a plugged ear being admitted before us. We would have stayed and waited (why, I don't know). However, my fiance was in a fair amount of pain and had enough. They wouldn't even give her an advil. Instead she was offered an ice pack and a warm blanket. The only part that was making the terrible wait time tolerable was the group of people that we were sitting near. That's until a Paladin security officer with a serious lack of social skills came up and singled them out, because they had two too many people their in support of their loved one who was in a major car accident earlier. She also was complaining that we all were lowering our masks in between bites of something to snack on. Keep in mind that at this point we had been there for a very long time. We were all instructed that if we were going to have a snack during our extended wait time, that we were to go to the cafeteria area. Within minutes she went and locked the access to the cafeteria. I can understand that hospitals get busy and they are a stressful environment. But adding unnecessary stress to people in the waiting area, just to have a power trip isn't the proper thing to do. I personally used to have faith in this hospital, but seeing how they triage first hand, and how their security contractors interact with people made me lose that faith.
