Just went in for what I would call not a huge emergency but something that needed to be dealt with by the hospital. I did wait a couple hours but I was fine by that. Everybody who worked with me was amazing and listened to all my concerns. Once I saw the doctor he was incredible. I can’t recall his last name but he introduced himself as Luke. I have a strong fear of needles and he had to numb my thumb with two needles and honestly it was the best experience I had ever had with needles. He had good bedside manner, fixed the issue with my thumb, and sent me on my way. I am pretty picky with doctors, and he did such a good job at putting my mind at ease, and that was worth the longer wait time In my opinion. The nurses were fabulous too! I would for sure go back again!

Typical walk-in clinic, with the only exception being the fact that it is a new facility.
Terrible service, limited treatment capabilities, capped off with an arrogant condescending patronizing attending doctor. Definitely will not be back under any circumstances.

My daughter was in last Wednesday bc she injured her wrist during dance class. The triage nurse was amazing and got her in right away bc she thought it was dislocated. X-rays were also done quickly and the X-ray tech was awesome. Once the X-rays were reviewed the doc (ortho tech) said there was no dislocation or fracture. They put her in a splint and tensor bandage and sent her in her way. Her nurse was rude and asked her why she was crying bc there was obviously nothing wrong. Followed up with our amazing physician, he had a look at the X-rays and it was very apparent to both of us that there was a fracture. Our physician for us an appointment with one of his colleagues who specializes in ortho. Sure enough there was a break. My daughter has now had an unstablized fracture for a week! She is going for her cast today due to the amazing ortho doc we saw at synergy. She will be in a cast for 4-6 weeks! Thanks to our “wonderful” facility. Not impressed at all!

January 1, 2018. Brought in by paramedics who decided I was capable of walking to ambulance when clearly I required a lot of help and talked me into seeing the good doctors at Strathcona community Hospital rather than U of A. Did not have to wait very long. Saw Dr. Alan Richard briefly who requested blood test but no exam. Thought I had a good nurse until she became miserable/rude toward me. Commented that I appeared more capable with her than with my husband??? opinionated? Had great difficulty being ambulatory to get to a bathroom but ignored by nurse. Assisted by other staff who watched me attempting to get there several times. Once, as I was making my way to bathroom I was hanging on to railing trying to find something to hold onto from there, Dr. Richard saw me from down the hall and loudly said I’m coming right away. I said I had to go to the bathroom, he loudly yelled ” Go to the bathroom or stay in your room and wait, Make a decision now!” All staff and persons stopped talking and looked at myself and the doctor. I had very low potassium and electrolytes which were immediately provided through intravenous and then by drinking it. Sent home at 1:30 am approximately. I have never experienced such a rude, degrading horrifying nightmare from medical personel in my 55 years, having gone through medical transfusion of hepatitis C and some horrible treatments to become sustained viral response plus permanent side effects. The nurse also added free advice that life can be rough sometimes. I won’t return even if I am dying at some much future date.

Had some serious foot problems. Had to go back weekly. Great people, good facilities and equipment. Maybe the person on the phone at Ambulatory care could be a bit friendly. Otherwise, a good place.

This is one of the worst facilities around for health care nothing gets done in a timely matter. Alot of the time they don't even have a doctor see u but a nurse practitioners. Would not recommend talking kids here at all alot of the nurses are rude and should not be in nursing care is substandard moves at a snails pace

There are some good doctors there but there are some that are not helpful but I got one doctor there that was hostile. Not a good attitude for being doctors.

Some nurses and doctors are great, however others are straight up terrible. I was only 16 when I first heard nurses just outside my room mocking and gossiping about me. Better believe that it also wasn't the last time it has happened. Definitely worth the extra time to go to the UofA instead.

The people working here setting up and giving the Covid shots are all amazing. This group are operating like a fine tuned machine. In and out 15 min. no standing in lines, from start to finish getting my shot was stress free. Keep up the great service.
