In 2012 I had a total hip replacement and the doctors, nurses and over-all treatment was wonderful, cheerful and painless. In 2013 I had to have the other hip joint replaced and was not the least bit afraid to go back...well I should have been. It was awful. Crabby old nurses and all unhappy - couldn't keep track of my pain meds and always came asking me if I'd had them. Also would stand and stare at me from the foot of my bed until I asked what they wanted - most of the time there was no answer. Young nurses were upset if they had to do anything. What happened in the course of one year? Plus the food was awful and without choice even for diabetics. I did not receive the physiotherapy I should have nor the care and now comes the clincher...a man in greens mopped the floor daily and on my last day he changed my bandages. I am a nice easy-going person , happy to be in such a terrific hospital and disgusted with the change in staff and lack of care and caring. They need a total over-haul in there.
