Recently I was a patient at TMH, floor 4400. I am very thankful to my family doctor, Dr.T. Laughlin & Dr.M.Stewart for the through treatment received. Consults were made to various physicians & I always believed that all professionals had my best interest as a priority. The care I received from the nursing staff was excellent, professional & attentive. Various other professionals; pharmacist, physiotherapist, respiratory & dietitian were very helpful & provided me with beneficial information. Thank you to the x-ray techs. & lab persons for being so pleasant. Also, porters offered warm blankets which were very much appreciated. I am very thankful for the caring & hard working professionals within the hospital.Thank you to everyone.Judy

Wait time is absolutely awful. Appointment time set waiting for hours and hours missing a day of work.

id like to share my experience at the Moncton city incase it may help someone else out about 3 months ago I had an unexpected pregnancy and my choice was made basically from Day 1 given my situation. It was a long weekend and I had to wait till the following week in order to get to speak with someone at the family planning clinic after I spoke with someone I was so impressed at how quickly they gave me an apt I was a tight schedule as I had to head back to university in Nova Scotia they had me in within a few days I didn’t know what to expect going in but all I have to say is Wow I’m so impressed at how caring , compassionate and understanding each person at the clinic was nurses , docs , social worker, etc. It made a very hard experience bearable and they took great care of me and followed me up until my procedure was complete and I was well. A+ to everyone in that clinic they exceeded my expectations anyone trying to decide on a clinic look no further you can’t ask for better.

emergency is a “relaxed” word in this hospital.
    nothing resembling an emergency situation.
even WITH an appt at this hosp…the wait is 3+ hours long.
    RIDICULOUS!!

It took 18 hours to see a doctor, who then insulted me and made a threat that if I did not do what she said they would be responsible for what happened.

Absolutely pathetic. My wife has been there for 12 hours and counting with abdominal pain so severe she can't even stand up. They put her in a secondary waiting room where its freezing cold and when the nurses come to call someones name they don't even enter the room? What if the person fell asleep? Or worse? This place is a joke.

Nurses should be drug tested.&cleaning staff should not be around patients. When I went to have stints put in I had doctor on one side nurse on the other putting pressure on my incisions on each side of my groin lo & behold the garbage was being taken right by my bed.Doctor or nurse never said one thing. The second time a filthy mop with another person's bodily fluids from the other operating room where there had been a problem was being carried by my bed ..yep no bucket just dripping all the way.I was so stunned but not one word was said.

No human works there. Doctors, nurses and rest of the staff are all crooked, shameless people who doesn't care for anyone. ER name should be changed to torture chamber where the normal waiting time is 10 hours and more.

5th floor. I guess it all depends who you get for care.. not every body treats the patience the same..poor communication to none..i really don't understand this..changing the dressings on your legs, i never knew that you have to be doped up to have your dressings done, obviously there's a problem..if there's a lot of pain where it's soo unbareable and the nurses keep doing them, i feel that this is abuse, a problem and unexceptable. You need to try something else ! Obviously the dressing that is being used is pulling the skin off. we were told to go to the drugstore and get the proper dressing..why weren't we told that in the beginning ? See, this is what i mean by poor to no communication with Dr.s Nurses and the Family ! Not Nice ! meanwhile the poor people are suffering . That's ok because one day they will be in a position where they will need care.
