I spent a few weeks at the orchard in the fall of 2022. The facility was heaven, the staff and food top notch. I wish that I could have spent the whole time there that I had paid for, but I was unfortunately discharged before my time was up. The doctors treating me did not listen to my, and my family's pleas for prescribing the proper medication for my recovery. Unfortunately I ended up having multiple seizures and was admitted to the lionsgate hospital on three occasions. I do believe they were concerned they would face a lawsuit if something terrible happened to me. I just want people to know that they are not equipped to handle complicated addictions. I would like to say that I have been sober since being discharged, I do believe that my brief stay there did have a positive impact on me, despite me having to take anti seizure medication indefinitely.

I spent 45 days at the Orchard. It opened up my eyes and gave me the tools I needed to achieve long term sobriety. The food and the staff were all amazing and I am so grateful to the Orchard for putting me on the path to achieve long term sobriety. I have over 3 years sobriety now and a big part of that success has to do with my time spent at The Orchard.
Thank you Orchard!

One year clean sober today. Best decision to accept the help offered by my family. Orchard staff are outstanding. I’ve stayed in contact and regularly attend alumni gatherings.

I am on a family vacation and am sitting here filled with gratitude reflecting on how happy, connected, and at ease me and my family now are together. My counsellor and recovery coach at the Orchard taught me to write down five things I am grateful for every day. Today the Orchard is at the top of my list for showing me how to live my life sober and free of resentment. The staff are exceptional, all of them. I miss the gym, the food and the people. Life is good.

I was from West Vancouver , but after several traumatic life events, I took a downward spiral into heroin and crack and ended up spending time on the DTES. I never thought I would be able to achieve Sobriety. After attending three treatment centres, I went to the Orchard . My addiction had taken everything from me, mentally, physically, and spiritually, I was broken . All of the staff went above and beyond the call of duty . The education I received combined with the Doctors , counsellors, support staff were all extremely professional, kind, and cared about me . I did the primary care program and then the extended care program , followed by out patient . The Orchard supported me in my transitions and met me where I was at in my process of recovery. I am now 11 and a half Years Sober , which means I have long term recovery. I now have a Life beyond what i could have ever dreamed of. What I Cherish most in my Life are My Children , who I am now able to be present for and a positive part of their lives . My family and I now have a house full of recovery, which is the greatest blessing of all. The Orchard has given my family the tools to live in recovery . With Gratitude
