I transitioned at Three Bridges eight years ago. They provided me a way to not only accept myself, but to also transition and ultimately, have surgery. I was able to get my surgery and airfare covered. If you don’t like it here, too bad.

I go here for bc prescriptions. My second visit was with Nessa who I really liked. They took the time to listen to and explain different pills and side effects and went out of their way to find particular information for something I asked.

As another user mentioned, the drug addicts do make the place feel sketchy and the reception seems a bit unorganized both times I was there. In my experience the service from the doctors was good though so I’ll continue going here.

I go here for trans healthcare. Firstly, the place is sketchy. They have drug addict patients making up a contingent of their clientele and another portion is people with STDs, among the others who are transgender. The doctors group them all together and treat me with suspicion and wild negative assumptions like I must be the poorest and lowest in society because I’m trans. It’s insulting. Next, they won’t even let you refill a prescription remotely by fax or phone. You have to physically be there. I’ve never gone to any clinic which had that policy, and it represents another negative assumption (that you have ulterior motives or are somehow being deceptive). Lastly it’s hard to find parking (the least annoying factor here). I’m a positive person generally, but there is no other place which consistently brings my mood down like 3 Bridges.

I would not recommend this centre. Staff are incompetent.

If you want zero assistance with addressing your health concerns, this is the place for you! Negligent attitude towards proper health care.

i was approved for affirmative gender healthcare in 2013 under the care of dr. mattheis. i was extremely mentally unwell at the time, which he was aware of, and under the legal age of nineteen. i had only been identifying as trans for a year. still, i was freely given cross sex hormones and approved for top surgery, all of which i now deeply regret. i take my portion of the responsibilities for what has been done to me, but careless medical “care” is what landed me in this situation. to think he's still doing this to others, no therapy required, is disgusting.

It's nice when you are treated like a Human and not a lower life just cause your poor , old , disabled, on welfare, etc . All the staff are very professional and always greet you with a smile. And the Doctors as far as I'm concerned are the very best the city has to offer. You get back what you give. If you come in with a bad attitude don't expect them to jump and serve you with a smile. They are like you their HUMAN. If you come in at the end of the day they are still smiling and try their best to make your visit a pleasant one and hopefully solve your problems. I've been going here for over 10 years and have never had a bad time. My Doctor is Dr. McKnight. And unlike other health office's he doesn't say , you have one question per appointment. He and his fellow doctors male and female in my eye are the Lottery, I win every time I see them .

Rude and misinformed staff at covid test site. Very rude nurse at the front desk. I expressed how physicians within my circle said I needed to get a PCR test as I was experiencing bad symptoms of COVID 19. The nurse said I was wasting resources by coming by. Next day went and got a private PCR test and tested positive! Inaccurate information given out as well at this centre! They were saying that the rapid tests I was using at home are just as effective as PCR- which we all know is completely false information if one does any research. My point has been proven taking 2 rapid antigen tests at home and being negative with all the covid symptom, after face-timing my brother(who is a doctor in Pediatric infectious disease) while doing the home tests; and then testing positive the next day when I got my PCR. Hire staff that have taken training of how to talk to patients in a calm and caring manner, and stop giving out misinformation!

Rude and incompetent staff. I had an appointment to get a Dr's note, which they would not send to me over fax or email - NOT a prescription, which was already being processed by the pharmacy - this was just a document to send to my benefits company to have them cover the Rx. I was 7 minutes late for an appt thanks to Translink, and the Dr. wouldn't see me, wouldn't even try to squeeze me in, even though I took time off work to be there. I had to rebook for 6 weeks later. Well, 6 weeks later came, I called beforehand to confirm everything, only to find out that they'd changed the time without notifying me, and that I'd already missed it! It's an expensive Rx but not something VITAL, so I will be happy to wait until I find a primary doctor instead of trying to book something here again. Unbelievable.
