Absolutely a very very outdated Hospital with the stupidest Doctors who don’t do there job right! Was in detox last year and the medication Dr Celina Horn gave me made me very aggressive sending hate mail to a very respected beloved Tofino family that didn’t deserve my hateful comments. She never asked how the meds were making me feel just wanting me to stay on them. I ended up swearing at her for not doing her job properly!!! Not only does Tofino need a new hospital but better Doctors. DR. Horn’s husband Forester was an idiot as well who was mean! Stay away if you can.

I’ve tried numerous times to have hospital social workers investigate elder abuse on reserve. However, between backwater small town politics and pearl clutching political correctness, indigenous are given a pass to abuse elder family members. Very useless as indigenous myself, the system is still positioned to allow trauma to continue. Nothing professional about staff and pollyanna-ish posturing. This isn’t “cultural sensitivity”, this is wilful ignorance.
