The chemo- and immunotherapies should be named chemo- and immunoTOXICITIES.

I encourage every patient who has gone through patient concerns to share their story. Not nurses. PATIENTS.

I’ve been suffering with PTSD and suicidal thoughts for almost 8 years because of a botched procedure I had done at TBCC by Dr. Pamela Chu. They will also use your tissue samples and lab results for research without consent.

The money being raised for a new facility should be going towards the patients who have been victimized by this institution. The medical care should allready be followed through with the present anemities in place. Hoping that this will help with research? Dont be fooled, the research is you.

Incompetence is the main theme with any staff here. From giving patients wrong prescriptions, ignoring questions, missing biopsy reports (as in not seeing/reviewing them), to an incredibly abusive nursing staff. The most disgusting group of people i have ever dealt with.

My daughter was transported to TBCC in critical condition with AML. This is our second very long stay there as she received a stem cell transplant. The doctors and nurses have given her exceptional care. She is alive today because of them. We were included in all aspects of her treatment and have been treated with compassion, respect and understanding. We are forever grateful to Unit 57- you are special people❤️

On average would wait 4 hrs in the main waiting room, then another hr in the exam room. The treatments ravaged my body. I had cervical cancer in 2012. Came back in 2014. First chemo drug given then left me with permanent nerve damage from my knees down. Went to see my oncologist who I only met once in 2012, and then passed around. Never went back for my 5 yr check up. If my cancer returns I will not receive treatment, and if my quality of life continues to be non existent I will make my application to M.A.I.D. Their aftercare programs suck.

With the exception of one Nurse Nasty (in the surgical recovery ward), and one cold fish doctor (first one I met who was thankfully not my oncologist!), I have found ALL of the staff, from reception, to admitting, to chemo, to cleaning, to aides and especially the nurses and doctors, to be caring, efficient, and professional. I will be forever grateful to those who have made this tough and very scary journey much easier to bear. I have witnessed the overwhelming number of patients these people have to deal with each and every day. They are dealing with not just me, but hundreds of other patients who are going through the same, and sometimes much worse, situations than mine. Throughout it all, I have felt like I mattered, that my concerns and queries were important - things that are extremely valuable and not always experienced in "regular" life. A heartfelt thank-you to you all!

Waiting for treatment. Doctors have all the necessary info to start treatment, but wasting time seem to be a go to practice here.
