Do not leave your family here. Visit daily. No bed pans to be found, staff all chatting in groups at work stations. No monitored visitor policy, anyone can go in and choose whether they sign in as no one cares. Call bells going off everywhere with no staff. They left my mom on toilet for over an hour while they had a staff meeting…again no call bell in bathroom. Appalling care. Only light at this place is the physio staff but otherwise go in Daily to help your family or friends as staff won’t.

My husband had hip replacement surgery on Tuesday. Surgery went very well. Post op care was very good. But service once in the ward was horrible. When I visited, floor was littered with pieces of paper, wrapper, etc. Apparently, continued pressing on call button was ignored. He was nor able to move about for 3 days because of dizziness after surgery. Had to insist on having 2 urinals for they were not emptied frequently. . No help upon discharge. I had to push the big, wide wheelchair all the way into elevator, main floor and to the car while holding all his possessions in one big white plastic bag. Had difficulty getting him into the car, then had to take the wheelchair back into the hospital.

Attended this hospital for day surgery. Staff were very knowledgeable, polite and respectful. Nursing staff were wonderful and Dr Flannigan is a top notch doctor.

Total hip replacement revision. All nurses and staff exceptionally pleasant, professional and courteous. Even the food was good.

My dad told me no one give him a bed bath for whole week and no one changed the bed sheet for whole week. Can't believe this will happen in hospital the cleanest places I think on earth. The night time nurses was horrible, just always says No to my dad.Refuse to help, especially my dad have language barrier for communication. Really disappointed compared to VGH, how can the patient get better in such a horrible environment? Lack of taking care, wasted life time to stay in this hospital.

I had UFE Fibroids Embolization Surgery here Feb 28 with Dr. LINDSAY MACAN . it was the worst treatment and decision of my life. My life is a nightmare I can't sleep in extreme pain and I was left with arm injury on my arm and blood clot. He refred me to Dr. Misskey at VGH whi hasn't been responding to my emails nor gett6bsck to me. My arm is extremely sore and lost my job due to this. I'm feeling helpless and no direction or help what to do other than blood thinners. Please be careful of this hospital.😥

In 2021 I had a hip replacement and the nursing staff were fantastic. This year 2022 I had my knee replaced what a disappointment in staff. Recovery nurse fantastic. Ward nurses - very disappointed. I came down from recovery and no nurse came until 2 hours later - I had to call. One male nurse would not take the time to tell me what he was putting in my IV or what pills I was given. The only happy helpful person was physio! I was so glad they let me go home. Don't know what happened I the space of a year but they are a miserable bunch.

Was left all night unable to move or pull up the covers or reach the call button with my behind hanging out in the cold. They never took the time to check how the bed was set up when I came up from surgery so I was jammed at the bottom and couldn't lift myself up or pull up the covers so I was freezing, all while vomiting for hours. It was a nightmare. They checked my blood pressure every half hour so I guess I should be grateful for that. I know it's not a hotel but my experience was kinda like torture. I believe it delayed my recovery. I wouldn't want to be seriously ill and alone in this hospital.
