The care in ICU is amazing... the care in Trauma is terrible. We felt less than and judged, pain was disregarded and the nurses were sarcastic and cold. The nurses aides were excellent, we learned on day 2 of being in 3F2 not to speak to a nurse directly with any concerns. We know now to go thru the Aides and even they are spoken to rudely by the nurses. Just because there is a shortage of nurses does not mean you can behave how ever you want... people are in unbearable pain and are scared. They need the best help you can give, not sub par care.

This is 1 of the better hospitals in Edmonton & it's a joke! Wait time on a weekday in the Emerg is on average 8 hours! Why bother calling it an âEmergencyâ might as well call it a âwait & see.â Cause that's exactly what it is! 8 hour wait on AHS? Really? Then they complain & want a raise? Give me a break! Where else do you wait this long? In all other countries the wait time is not even 1/8th as long! This is Canada! What a joke! The chairs in the waiting room are likely to end up causing you to return back to a health care physician. Try spending 8 hours in 1 of these crappy chairs. If this is the wait time now, and Canada wants to bring in 500,000 immigrants every year - I hate to see how deplorable this country will become from a health perspective in 1 or even 2 years time. Where's the health minister? When's the last time 1 of those imbeciles sat in their own health care facilities to see 1st hand what it's like? Mid way through writing this I asked the nurse at triage what the wait time is. All I was told was âwe have people here who've been waiting 8 hours. So use that as a gauge.â I asked if we could then leave and come back in 4 hours and he said, âno. We'll take you off the list if that's the case, cause we're somewhat responsible for you when you're here.â Lol what a joke. Responsible for patience? They're literally doing nothing but sitting behind the desk and every 4 hours taking vitals! Ridiculous!

I am lucky to see Dr. Hill in the emergency department. He is careful , patience, responsibility and hardworking. The nurses are nice too.

From the moment I walked (barely) into Emergency until I was allowed to go home, approximately 4 days later, I felt that I was being cared for and helped in every way possible. Everyone that I encountered was courteous and professional. I felt so comforted to know that I was in a world class Hospital surrounded by world class professionals.
It was an emotional time and I can’t say enough about how efficient and knowledgeable I found every individual.
Thank You all for helping me and every patient through difficult times.
Peace and Love to all of you.

Terrible experience. Waited over 9 hrs. Can’t believe my tax money goes to this s***hole. All the white people got in while the Indigenous people still stuck in the waiting room. Obvious to see that race is a priority here. So disappointed and embarrassed in this health care system. Another form of systemic racism 100%
