I have been told so many different things about my son that I don't know what to believe..I have been through 2 weeks of hell believing my son would pass when tubation was removed it's 4 days later and he is still breathing on his own..but not getting any nutrition I don't want him laying there starving to death..God has him in his hands and if God wants him to live he will live..brain damage..kidney damage if God wants to heal him he will..but I think no nutrition is inhumane..I don't want him starving to death..!!!

Absolutely horrible. But it’s so big now it can’t fail. They treat blacks like it’s still 1864

I never thought that I could say this but the moment I came to this hospital I found a second home. The staff is humble and they treat you wonderful. I lost my conjoined twins and had to have surgery and they were on top of it. Every nurse was comforting and reassuring . I had my daughter there and let me say that they were astonishing. They need more than five stars. This hospital goes above and beyond for everyone. Thank you UofK for all you have done for me and my family.

Horrible!!! Because of HMO I had no other healthcare choices. Missed diagnosis requiring emergency exploratory surgery – necrotic gall bladder with injury to liver and pancreas. Missed diagnosis after 40 years of horrible cardiac symptoms – now in 100% A Fib. After twelve years complaining of flank pain and my suspecting kidney disease was sent to Nephrologist. His diagnosis – Stage 3B CKD. Spent a week at Cleveland Clinic after retiring and was told nothing can be done for me. There is too much injury. I am alive only because I work very hard at it.

My wife had surgery, Surgeon very skilled, support staff very courteous and helpful, in brand new beautiful room on 11 floor. After surgery, hospital fully occupied, so had to stay in post op unit first night, but they got a comfortable stretcher for me to sleep on. Wife liked the food, cafeteria always open with wide variety of options. Large waiting area filled with art, not too crowded, large screen tracks where your family member is in the process (pre-op, in surgery, or post op) and pager to give update periodically during surgery. They have a large team to address all needs. They are a model for other hospitals.
