The nicest doctors, the best nurses, best hospital food I’ve ever had!

  • Anonymous

I had back surgery here and not only was I treated kindly and with respect, my wife who stayed by my side, was also treated very well, we were very happy with how we were treated during my overnight stay following my surgery…and the food , it was very good and for a great price my wife was able to have a tray with me…patients meals are included, family can prepay at the café $6.95/meal and can order as much as desired…not a bad deal when loved ones want to be near to help, and beats getting lost trying to find the cafeteria…nurses were so nice, went above and beyond…

This hospital was great. After back surgery the last thing I wanted was a roommate or bad mattress.

After 3 times being out their to the ER still no answers and flat out the last Dr we had in the ER had no idea what he was talking about.... The nurses in the ER stand around and talk or sit on the station desks and talk about their personal lives.....

The surgical staff at passavant were so nice and hospitable! They made me feel so clam & relaxed before my surgery. If I needed anything they were right there for me with smiles on their faces, in my opinion passavant is the best hospital in Pittsburgh!

Worst care givers, majority of staff incompetent part-time agency nurses. After 2 weeks in hospital trying to get my BP below 180/80, was released when BP was finally close to normal for 3 days. Feet became so swollen my toe skin split. Discharge papers took me off the meds that were working while in hospital and did not replace them with any other heart drug. Went back into hospital emergency after 4 days of 289/120 BP with out meds...thanks to primary doc appointment. Equipment could not accurately measure consistent BP. Nurses did not understand BP cuff without glass cover could not give dependable reading, especially stupid when I showed her that the needle could/have been moved. Middle of night told cardiac RN I could not breathe and needed oxygen, she brought breathing treatment device to vaporize my lungs. I WAS LITERALLY IN FEAR FOR MY LIFE!! Thanks to doc that examined me and fixed my meds..otherwise I think the cardiac unit would have killed me .. Or even worse!!
