I was there for over 5 days and my room got cleaned once

This hospital is so so gross. Our room we had after baby was delivered had old food in a top drawer. Thick thick dust on the heat vent like it hadn’t been cleaned for a year. Not a great place to deliver a baby. The visiting hours go all night kept us all up. When I arrived with my water broke and leaking down my legs at about 7:45ish am. The lady at the front hand no urgency what so ever. I was put in a room that was in the middle of being cleaned. After an hour of no one coming to see me. I got up and asked if they could please come put a monotor on me to see if the baby was ok. They literally had no care what so ever. And the guy that did my epidural for the csection I didn’t plan on having was horrid. I was laying down trying to get someone to come set with my other child. He turned me on my side rubbed a lil spot and stuck me in my back. The nurse hurried and grabbed my head pushed it down to my chest and in a frustrated voice asked the anastisiologist “WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?” I get it he was bugged I was on the phone but we couldn’t take our daughter back there with us and I had my friend on the phone giving her directions to what doors to go in. But to indanger my life because he was annoyed. Goes to show this hospital is use to getting away with a lot. After surgery the nurse couldn’t get the epidural out of my back. The anastisiologist had to help her get it out. The pressure I felt of him pulling was terrifying. I literally wondered if I would be able to walk. And his nurse had a look of fear on her face when she couldn’t get it out.

For a maternity and birth stay in 2000: The maternity ward was very helpful and compassionate. The nursing staff did a great job of ensuring our needs were met. Due to complications after the birth, our child also ended up in the NICU, which we found to be a little cramped, but the nursing and hospital staff still did a great job of ensuring we were taken care of. The hospital was also very understanding regarding finances and willing to work with us.
