I saw the midwives at Union Corners when I had a first trimester miscarriage. They had no empathy, no ability to communicate clearly what was happening to me, my body, and my baby. When someone finally confirmed I had had a miscarriage, they told me it happens to 20-25% of women. The nurse said âwelcome to the 25%â like I had achieved something special- not at all understanding that for me this was the loss of a family member. I also ended up getting double charged for a service. I was passed around from patient relations to the clinic to billing for a month or more. I still don't feel it is resolved two months later. Too much bureaucracy, not enough caring.

The diabetes clinic asked me to send a form and then 2 weeks later said they couldn’t complete the form. They’ve canceled appointments 4 different times in the past 5 months. Most of the doctors are good if you can get in. Don’t expect any help without coming in for a physical appointment. Awful communication between appointments.

The entire staff is the kindest most caring group of professionals that I have been associated with. My medical problem was diagnosed in minutes after I spent months at other facilities. My neurologist, Dr. John Jones, is excellent. He takes time to listen to your concerns and is very thorough in his treatments. The medical staff is outstanding. They treat you as a person, not as a number. There is no better place in the country than here for medical care.

I have had the very best treatment at UW Hospital and Clinic. The Staff, Doctors, Technicians and Nurses are all genuinely concerned, patient, kind and professional. I have the highest level of respect and gratitude for this team working all together to assist me in the lung transplant evaluation process. I had many tests and appointments through a 4 day period and everyone knew where I had just been and where I was going next. All my appointments were on time. I never felt hurried. They all took time to listen to me and treated me like a human. This is an exceptional facility and it’s pretty clear that this is a philosophy and standard that flows down from the top. The doctors here are some of the best in the world. I never want to have to go anywhere else.

I WOULDN’T TAKE A DEAD PIG HEAR!! The only thing clean is the lobby. They don’t listen if you finally have a doc or six docs wonder in. What are they teaching? They talk about you to each other like you are not there. No one washes there hands in the whole group! The nurses try to meet your needs but they too don’t wash their hands. If you want to catch MERSA check in here but you won’t check out later if you are over65!

People mistake UWH for the OLD UWH prior to its changeover to a Public Authority in 1996.
This is tragic, because this Hospital isn’t 1/2 the place it was before the changes. I recently lost a good friend to a routine, sloppy procedure. Nicked and vein and he went into a massive heart attack. Myself – I had a brain tumor removed 10 years ago, and started to go into a coma because the doctor/resident did not monitor my electrolytes.
DO YOU REALLY WANT THE TRUTH? Do your homework FIRST.
