The worst hospital, especially for brown people and elderly people. They killed my mother in their care, VGH failed to care an elderly women, their goal was only to take consent from us to let my mother die with dignity. Not sure what they mean let person die with dignity or if they perform aggressive CPR,
Again I never heard aggressive CPR (only high quality CPR) in total most of the Dr.’s tried selling us that we should not perform CPR on my mom in case if she needed it. because she was 82, my mom was recovered and she was waiting for the bed for general care, all of sudden one of the killer Dr. Who kept selling dying with dignity phrase to us gave beta blocker over dosage on top of 40% output of heart.
In my mom’s care in betweenSurrey Memorial, and VGH hospital both of these hospitals have worst dr.’s and nurses they are there for their pay checks only, because we did not agree with them on their terms, therefore, they forced their way, gave my mom heart attack twice in ICU, once due to beta blocker given by dr, that caused low heartbeat and 2nd one due to high potassium with in 2 hours gap to make sure she has multi organ failures so she can never revive again. All this happened after she recovered and was ready to move to the general ward.
During my daily visits to hospitals we discovered so many negligence, feeding tube 2 times off for many hours, mouth cleaning not performed for few days in a row, with the phlegm stuck in back of throat, never bathing her, never monitored her sugar, removed ventilator even before she was able to breath own her own, abusive language used by the ICU dr, not changing positions, giving attitude to family, high CO2, not monitoring urine discharge, they treat people selectively, in my 40 days in hospitals, all dr.’s nurses, no feeling, no compassion, brown people they see patient as a body only, if it’s not recoverable they will move their treatment towards getting rid of the patient. Living in BC for the past 39 years and only this is the time we needed medical services, and we did not get it. I paid so much taxes for what,??
We need private care, I have so many examples of similar cases, afterwards I met so many people who experienced the same, the worst care possible in so called developed country. Me and my family is still trying to gather our strength to fight with this unjust death of my beautiful mom. She was a healthy 82 yrs old, own her own. These government owned hospital has occupancy target how many patients they will save and how many they will kill, and who they will save and who they will kill.
Now I know why they block int’l graduates, they will exposed their brutality internationally.😢😢
I am not sopping here, I want justice for my beautiful mother. I am not naming the dr’s yet on purpose,

This hospital is the worse in the world, they do not care about anyone. Lots of people laying around in pain, and no one is doing anything. I think all the nurses & doctors are stealing the pain medication, as they don’t give it to the patients at all. Some guy asked for pain medication for his broken arm and all they gave him was a Tylenol. What a meat factory this place is. Go somewhere else if you have to go to the hospital, don’t go here waste of time. Place is so dirty too, gross.

Horrible hospital. Amatures with very little experience. If you need to see a REAL doctor, choose a different hospital.

Had a really hard time breathing, felt like I was dying so I called 911 and the ambulance came and took me to this hospital. Waited 12 whole hours for a doctor while walk-in patients immediately got one while they made me wait 12 hours. NOBODY CAME. I was hungry, tired, and in pain so I asked if I could go home. The nurse didn’t even care, she just said “go home then”. Ridiculous.

Was detained against my will for 2 months in psych for reporting child m0l3station. Forced to take brain-shrinking antipsychotics though I have 4 years of medical school and a master's degree in theology. I am a registered psychotherapist but despite my credentials staff here who are racists ignored my credentials and the evidence of abuse in my own home. Fully incompetent. Take their licenses away.

Dear VGH staff, I was in the VGH for 36 hours (June 25-26 th) having a Laparoscopic Appendectomy. The care I received from all the nurses, interns and doctors was wonderful! I hope they know how much they are appreciated. The doctors in the OR were so thoughtful . After the surgery, during the night shift, I spent some time recovering in the OR area.I saw first hand how carefully the medical staff helped all the patients. I also greatly appreciate that Dr H.Stuart arranged for a follow up appointment with me , 2 months after the surgery. Before being admitted to VGH, I went to the UBC Urgent Care facility. Here also I received excellent care. Thank you to all those medical professionals and support staff that took such good care of me. I'm back at all my regular activities now . Sincerely, J.MacPhail

I just wanted to take the time and give a shout out to Dr. Kareemi Hashim. He truly helped me in a moment of complete and utter despair. He took the time to listen and took immediate action. He was so kind and compassionate towards me and I truly feel he went above and beyond. If the world had more people like him the world would be a better place. I can't Thank You enough for your help today. You helped me so much and I will never forget it!! Thank You! Thank You!
