Do not go to this emergency unless you are versed in union vs management. Worst uncaring uncompasionate nurses I have ever experienced. Arms were charcoal black from butain blow up. Didn't clean bandaged three spots over dirt. I am not sure these emergency nurses are capable of doing their jobs evidently not capable. Instead looking for sympathy about being under staffed and busy. You can't can't get care here Self serve stay home don't waste your time.

I took my father in to Vernon Jubilee and the nurse who did the ER intake was very off-puttting to him. He was a huge burly guy. My dad had a very injured lower leg and the nurse was palpating around roughly on his foot that was swollen and very bruised. When he hit a very tender spot my dad reached out and touched him with his hand to get him to stop. He never said anything except that that really hurt. The nurse backed off and told him in no uncertain terms not to touch him. He said that he had to check out his injury to see what was going on, but "YOU don't touch ME!" He never apologized for hurting my dad or gave him any kind or compassionate words. I don't understand the lack of kindness or compassion for someone who is hurting. It is unacceptable for someone in the nursing profession to be so rude and unkind to a patient.

Why are they putting men and women together its very embarrassing ? Spend all day in a tent so no-one can see you . Keeping the curtains closed all the time no light , watched a woman walk by from the bathroom with her gown stuck , you could see all . This should not be happening 4 of my friends say the same Its like we are cattle , stick them all in the same barn ? Making people walk the length of the hospital . Because you closed the front doors Some can`t walk that far .Some people are on their cell phone all night long laughing and talking in their beds ? This sort of thing should be stoped after visiting hours, unless its an emergency ?.Why do you let this happen ? When asked if you have private rooms you always so NO ? I called to see how my husband was and was on hold with the worst music for 20 mins ?

Terrible. Would never want to end up here again while in severe pain. Most of the nurses are unkind and rude and they think its ok to look down on people crying in pain. Glad I told them what I thought and stood up for myself. They were trying to be nicer at the end but it was too little too late. If you dont care about people's overall well being and cannot demonstrate empathy then get the heck out of hospitals. This is not a job for just anyone. There are some very uncaring staff members at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Do better!!!!!

I have been to the VJH twice for a issue with my hip and groin, both times the doctors just stormed in grabbing at my sore hip, and then freaking out when I got upset. how hard is it to ask a simple question like “What seems to be the issue” next doctor that grabs at me just might get knocked on his ass next time. charge nurse was very rude threw the blanket at me and when it came time to be discharged no offer of a wheel chair or anything was left on my own to shuffle down the hall from Observation room 3 all the way to the exit good thing I was wearing a house coat and underwear in Nov

I am a Custodian and noticed this is the least kempt hospital I have ever visited repeatedly. Dust in obvious locations, overflowing garbage’s, bathrooms, and the booking staff are not very sharp.

I have had two hip replacements at VJH and other appointments as well. I must say I have nothing but the best to say for all the staff (right from the front door, to security, xray, nursing staff, physio, etc.). They have all been friendly, professional and helpful.

Nurses were extremely rude I went in because I fractured my ankle. They told me that I was a young mom which I know. Then she continued to ask me very personal questions âwho’s your daughter with right now, is her dad active in her life, do you guys both have a stable income, do you guys have your own houseâ very personal and invasive questions. Also when I first got there I was in a wheelchair and no one came to help me while I was in a wheelchair and when I asked for help to be moved and the nurse scoffed. Very horrible experience 0/10 I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you absolutely have to. They need to sit down with the nurse and teach them how to be nice to people in pain and not be rude to patients. Every time I go there I have a horrible experience
