Bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad unprofessional nursing staff in the ER

My name is Indrajit Desai. I spent 24 hrs (1/9/23, 3PM to 1/10/23, 3PM) for evaluation of passing out and falling. Overall, all the lab techs. were fantastic, but the Nursing staff was highly unsatisfactory. I only got 1/3 meals and meds. My b’fast was extremely cold and was given sugar even though I am a diabetic. Took’em 12 hrs to give me my RED help button, asked 3 of them to connect my bed so I can lower my back but I was just ignored & one of them said she was new and didn’t know, my oxygen and BP moniters beeped at my slight movement and they were left beeping for over 5 mins at verious times. I asked about my Covid test results and was ignored. Overall, they just didn’t care and ignored a lot of things. These are just the basic things you expect at an hospital, but they were not provided.

    Hello,
I wanted to commend WakeMeds Emergency staff for taking great care of me.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember all of their names but Austin, my PA and Corey, my nurse, took excellent care of me. Everyone was great but Austin and Corey went a few extra miles to make sure that I was comfortable and efficiently tried to get to the core issue, which were debilitating Kidney Stones.

Austin and Corey were extremely busy but always took the time to check on me. I wish that I could say that I received preferential treatment but they treated everyone that way…and even cracked a few jokes from time to time which was needed and also necessary.

Thank you all for the excellent care. I expected nothing less after having a surgery there a few months ago that was done by Dr Duberman.

Kudos to the entire staff and thank you all again.

    Warmest regards,

    Marty Embry

I visited the Cary ER and was treated less than human. I don’t remember his name and it was not on my discharge papers. I left that er worst than when I walked in. He refused to give me the treatment I needed. I begged him and he looked through me like I was invisible. I’m at home crying because I’m to exhausted and to nauseous to go to an emergency room. I gave him my doc instructions because she sent me there. Well actually to Duke but I choose to go to wakemed because it’s close to my home. I begged him to do my bloodwork with ultrasound he refused and had 3 separate nurses stick me over 5 times to get blood. He should have given me an ultra sound on my stomach because I was nauseous with pain and throwing up spots of blood. I told him all of this and again he did nothing. After he decided to send me home I begged again for the IV fluids and nausea meds. He said he could not. He sent nausea meds to my pharmacy late this morning and that’s not working. Told me to find a chiropractor or my rheumatologist on the way out for my knee. My name is Bridgett Hamilton and I matter. My birthday is 3/10/1964

Might as well treat yourself. Worst experience EVER!!!! Was in Emergency Room (Wake med Cary) lobby for 5 1/2 hours after my primary doctor had me rush to this emergency room thinking I possibly could be having a heart attack after just visiting her across the street. Only thing they did was same ECO test as my doctor 15 min's prior to arrival. They took blood and had me set in waiting area with all the other people for 5 1/2 hours later, never checked on me, never updated me when I'd be seen. I finally got so frustrated I went to desk to ask when could I be seen. No one but a security guard at desk. He said he didn't know when I'd be seen. Told him I was leaving. He says ok... I left with no doctor ever seeing me. As I sat there overheard many people say they had been waiting much longer than me and saw many upset people walk out without being seen because of the wait. One poor elderly lady 8 1/2 hours and spitting up blood. Tops 10 people in waiting room when I arrived and that included a family member with patient. Do NOT go here. They have zero sense of urgenance. None.... I could have had a heart attack although I went there to prevent one. And I still don't know if I have heart issues. I'm sure if I didn't I do now with the stress I endured waiting to be seen and then told me that no heart doctor was available in the emergency room right now. Are you kidding me???? What a terrible so called health care facility. Sure I'll be billed full cost of emergency room although had zero care. Zero compassion...

The Hospital administration is poor. We requested to visit a dying patient. Security did not let us in. She passed away without being visited by near ones.By the by, she did not have Covid.
