I went there for blood in my urine. The doctor did a painful swab of my urethra. When I screamed she told me to "stop it". The next day the called me and said they had lost the swab.

I'm pregnant 11 weeks and I came here because I started bleeding heavy with clots! I passed out from loosing so much blood but I wasn't an emergency case. They made me wait 5 hours before a dr saw me only to tell me to do ultrasound and wait another 2 hours! Someone who had knee pain, and a cold got to see the dr before me. The triage nurse clearly is an idiot! I left because I was passing out from bleeding. Went to another hospital the next day Clearly heavy bleeding and loosing your baby is not a concern at this hospital

Went to the ED cause my daughter was having an allergic reaction. Everyone was great and helpful. However the actual dr was terrible. I believe he called himself dr amar. No bedside manner and was extremely condescending to my 10 year old daughter and I. Absolutely terrible.

Jaclyn Naor, the Ultrasound Technologist at Etobicoke General Hospital demonstrated extreme professionalism and care during my time at the hospital. When I arrived for both of my visits I was incredibly anxious but she assisted me throughout my stay with her amazing care. Although I could not have a family by my side, she made me feel not alone and at home. I would just like to let your hospital know that you guys have some wonderful staff. Thank you for everything I truly appreciate everything she has done. I would greatly appreciate it if this message could be relayed to her.

can't believe these comments. I realize that when you go to a hospital, it's because you are in dire straits and pain can cloud your judgement whether your condition is serious or painful. You have to remember as well that staff at hospitals don't have the time to become your buddy just because you need their services. I have just returned home yesterday after having my prostate removed due to cancer. Before my surgery, I visited the hospital for a CT on one occasion. I had to wait an extra two hours. Why? Because they had some emergencies more important than me at the time. Then I went back for an MRI. During both of these visits, the staff were courteous, friendly and above all, professional. Cancer is a terrifying disease and experience. My emotions were like a roller coaster the whole time. Osler made it tolerable. My surgeon, Dr Suman Chatterjee, was most informative and put me at ease for the entire procedure. I was under the care of several nursed during my stay and maybe partly because I treated them in a freindly manner, they more than reciprocated in kind. They were all nice and when I had to go home, my last nurse was most informative regarding the care of my surgical site, the possible things I was suppose to watch out for and what I should do in the event of problems resulting from surgery. The only thing I could criticize is that they should beef up the cleaning staff, but even that wasn't a critical issue. I went to get rid of a life threatening issue. I realized that going in and decided it was my part of the deal to do as I was told and get on with it. A lot of these complaints reflect problems with a single visit or issue. When medical staff get up in the morning and go to work, it is not their intent to piss you off. They are there to help you. When you get up in the morning, it is not in your daily plan to have to visit a hospital. And guess what, the staff that look after you are specially trained but just remember one thing. They are only human just like you.

This is how patients are treated at William Osler :
The security guard quickly put on a pair of plastic gloves and pressed a button, a code was announced and an army of security guards quickly flooded the tiny hallway of the ICU department. Everyone started to put on gloves. In a flash they grabbed me and I was thrown on the bed, someone held my face down in a pillow, in my mind I started to scream, âOh God I can’t breathe, please help me, I’m going to die, I can’t breatheâ I struggled against the pressure of the weight on my head, trying to move my head to the side so I could breathe, but it was useless. I started kicking my legs so they couldn’t get to strap them down, but that was useless too, there were too many of them. I could feel many hands on my body as they tried to strap me down. I COULDN’T BREATHE !!

I had pain in my appendix found out it was ripped. I was in pain for over 20 hours while they kept me in the hospital just waiting. I was suffering. Just sitting there helpless. They didn’t have the x – ray machines at night. Who does that? They couldn’t check my organs because there was nobody at night shift for the machine. Ridiculous. I was in pain for over 20 hours just sitting helpless. Doctors didn’t even know what to do. Until they found out 20 hours later that it was a rip in my appendix and I had surgery. Un believeable

all the reviews sound creepy and scarey I would believe it our experience was in the mental health and it was very scarey so many issues an allergic reaction to a new medication for a week didn’t notice it was by device intervention when going to pharmacy after leaving hospital the pharmacist noticed the swelling of my sons lips and asked plus a rash did not fill perscription and took at least a month to treat all the reactions his hands were so itchy all he could do was wash them non stop they didn’t notice anything at the hospital as they treat mental health patients like animals so many issues I want to talk to someone about was a nightmare I have a distrust for this hospital there are so called respected drs there just prescribing like they are using lab rats and no regard to allergic reactions or side effects or huge 100 pound weight gain for maximum dosage you hear things like “I am the doctor” when you have questions or you a difference of opinion was the worst hospital experience we have ever had

Went there today and got a run around from nurses giving me no information or answers. The doctors are untouchable and don’t have time to see patients. I needed my heart checked for palpitations and waited for 6 hours. This is a joke.
