I live out of town and was contacted by my family doctor to attend an emergency ward as soon as possible due to results of a previous blood test. I attended and was treated at the Powell River Hospital emergency ward . From the receptionist to the emergency ward staff we were made comfortable and found everyone professional and courteous. Thanks to Dr. Ricketson, technicians and staff for the excellent treatment that I received.

An excellent facility for the population served. Predictably, the food is suboptimal. The population is aging so other facilities are required.

The cleanliness of our hospital and the food service has shown a steady decline. Our nursing staff are understaffed and overworked. We are held hostage by BC Ferries, economics and hte weather. And like many other isolated communities we suffer from a shortage of family doctors. Thank you for your excellent programming.
