📋Overview
Buerger's disease, also known as thromboangiitis obliterans, is a rare inflammatory condition affecting small and medium-sized arteries and veins, primarily in the limbs. It leads to blood vessel inflammation, clot formation, and eventual blockage, causing tissue ischemia. The modern preferred term is thromboangiitis obliterans. It is strongly associated with tobacco use and mainly affects young to middle-aged adults.
