๐Overview
Calcaneal valgus is a foot deformity characterized by an outward angulation of the heel bone (calcaneus) relative to the leg, resulting in the heel tilting away from the midline. It is considered a type of hindfoot valgus deformity. This term is often used interchangeably with or as a component of pes planovalgus (flatfoot with heel valgus). The condition can be congenital or acquired and may affect foot biomechanics and gait.
